Great concept!

1.Use cloning stamp on tomato to adjust light and shadows;
2.also use a separate layer with low opacity to paint the shades & lights.
3. Check the shadow cast by looking at the shades of those plants from source 3. The shadow from the character should be at the same angle.
4. Don't get mad on my comment, just trying to help
Edit: well next time, you could use this tips, I now realize the contest is closed.

author says:

Thanks Greymval, I those were things I was looking at. I thought I did a good job at the sadow from the figure, but after looking again I guess the light is higher up than to the right.

I'll keep those suggestions in mind the next time around. Thanks

The clearest tomato juice known to man! Nice job, author...I particularly like the blue background you made!

author says:

(Response to a deleted comment, not Pixelkids)

tomato juice is any color you want it to be, I chose clear refreshing water running over their surface, chilling the water.. It's my tomato juice.. if you want nightshade red, make it yourself, thanks anyway LOL

avatar MossyB
MossyB says:

"Tomato" juice is the color of the tomato, generally...your liquid is too high contrast, whatever it is, especially near the top of your tomato grouping.

The LH side is also distractingly blurry compared to the rest of the image.

Parts of this show decent chopping skills, but then it veers off towards somewhat goofy, and the skilled parts get lost in the jumble.

avatar cabldawg71

Mess with the Bull you get the HORN!!

avatar petersheep

I liked the idea, but you might have worked better, better colors and shadows to achieve a better realism in your image. Good Luck!

avatar erathion

Nice one, crystal balls magnify the background behind them when this is close to them, so the part of the tomato right behind the crystal should be bigger.

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

Greymval's comment about magnification is correct. I would add that the interior of the crystal ball seems too dark to me, given the fairly strong light source. It's still a well made image...GL author!

author says:

thanks toa greymval and CMYK46. for the observations. I did the coreections and hope it looks better.
