Wings were painted with brush. The tail fins are free transformed samples from the car. The engines are transformed samples from the B52 engine source with corrections to the hue/sat and some brushed embellishments. Some smudge tool used also. (5 years and 2683 days ago)

Nicely done. Great choice of sky & model.
Thank you, CMYK!
Really nice use of colors, lighting and sources. Nit pick would be to use a lens blur or other technique to reduce the artifacts in the background sky. Good Luck!
Thanks for the tip, Chad!
I applied blur in the sky, really softened the artfacts.
Thank you!
This is really nice, well done

Great concept with a bit of humor as well! Using a prairie dog head in lieu of a recognizabale dog breed on the fourth soldier seems a lttle too cute/obscure, but maybe that's just me. The shadows on the T-shirts don't seem to quite match the fur of the heads. But it's the human arms instead of dog legs that seem the most out of place (and admittedly the hardest to replace).
Replacing the arms with dog legs would have taken away the human element and therefor disqualified this entry in this contest. IMHO.
Made me grin. Nice work on the fur edges.
The fur edges where a hell of job to do
Very well done. I love the pun with the prairie dog (hence your artwork title). I also like that you left the human arms and legs. Fine interpretation of the contest objective.
Excellent! Laugh-out-loud worthy. Love the bulldog with the cigar. He must be the general. Great contrast with the guiy on the end, too. So, is he the wannabe or the prairie dog?? Kinda makes you wonder.
Congrats!
Thanks Bob
Congrats on 2nd, Rob!
