The crosses & dots on the helmet are openings...they should be transparent.
Good effect on the helmet.
This is a special kind of crystal. we hope can support any kind of hit.

nice choice of images and well blended
I agree with Alan, it's just that the bird is too obvious looking back over the shoulder. With other words, the hird's body is 180 rotated compared to the warrior image. What might work is to remove the feathers and put the head straight on the body (with some more tweaking..). Good luck!
Over the shoulder? Not hardly...Heads can turn. An owl can turn its head dramatically due to extra vertebrae...there's no reason why this warrior couldn't be turning his head as well. IMO the head is only rotated about 45 degrees.
I think what he was trying to say is, actually its bird's back where warrior's front it. The bird is looking 90 degree to right. But still, this is awesome work and quite believable in my opinion.
Good overall tonality, a nice clean chop!
I like the stark realism look of this,.. very cool!
Author, I agree with both you and Wazowski. You because yes what you're saying is possible, but Wazowski because despite that it still doesn't look quite right, and also because I agree that deleting at least some feathers would help the illusion.
You could perhaps have subtly perspective-transformed both bird and warrior in opposite directions to match up a bit better...anything that fools the eye helps!
Congratulations.....nice work!
Congrats Bob!!
Congrats for the nice composition!

Thanks to Roger Luijten from flickr, for the pic of the gorilla, and to Alaskan Dude also from flickr, for the pic of the woman warrior. (5 years and 2478 days ago)
Hi author, there is a sharp line at the bottom edge of the grass. I think this would be a much stronger entry if you faded the grass out at that line as well. Just as you had done with the left and right sides of the grass. the sharp line is somewhat distracting. Another thing to try would be to take the smudge tool and smudge around the ape a bit (try not to get carried away with the smudge tool) to make his hair look more realistic. This could be a large improvement on an already strong entry. good luck author, I hope I've helped.
Thanks Tnaylor...Changes made.....!
nice work.

Awesome, but blood on the hands doesnt look very realistic
Thanks for your comment,bro...
Hope you like my revision....
Looks good, but more contrast between figure & background would help IMO.
