Can you find the hidden lady? A heavy composite of many sources. Made the water from an underwater photo combined with a surface photo. The cracked and rising ground was some ordinary gray cement that was warped to make it look like it was breaking open (see source #1). Converted the cement to a "brick" look. A great deal of light, color, and various contrast methods. Hope you like it.

Figure needs a reflection, shadows are wrong. Look at the shadow under the chin for original light source.

author says:

There are already reflections in the water. Can't you see them? It has the statue reflection and the starfish reflection and also the cloud reflection in the water. As for the shadows, they are following the same angle as the shadow on the knee and chin. See that knee shadow? It is heading slightly to the left. The chin shadow seems to be going straight down so I figured I needed to use both source shadows to make my own shadows. I made the ivy leaf and starfish shadows aim down and slightly left. The dark area you see above the leaves on the knee are cracks in the statue. Those areas are holes. The ivy is growing through those cracks.
Now if you still think the shadows are wrong, which way do you think they ought to go if not slightly down and to the left?

CMYK46 says:

The light source is almost overhead. I'd make the shadows lower and more to the right. I'd also make the reflection more visible.

author says:

I moved the shadows 6 pixels more to the right and 3 pixels further down and made the reflection more visible for you.

Just celebrated my 2nd year anniversary of Photoshopping May 30th. Still unsure of myself spaceranger. I try hard on each entry to the point of stress. Starting to feel a little comfortable with PS.

Seems like when you first start, this program is really hard. Then you get to a point where it's a bit easier, but you want more. Then it gets even harder. Rinse and repeat.

Mahalo for the kind words brah. Put a smile on my face IRL.

Happy anniversary BWR. You look to me as a fast learner! Yes Photoshop is a labyrinthine system, and it is so good to get lost in it

I like this. I had a similar idea some days ago while contemplating the frog, but now I'll have to find another idea because of you ! . I just have one problem with the trees : they look photorealistic while the rest doesn't (frog and sea).

author says:

Please don't change your idea because I already made an island. Please go right ahead and create one too. I am sure it will be totally different to mine anyway.

(5 years and 1057 days ago)

author says:

As for the trees, they were filtered with the same art filters as everything else. However, if you have any suggestions for improvements, I am all ears and totally willing to listen and learn.

(5 years and 1057 days ago)

gosseyn says:

Perhaps I would desaturate the green of the trees a bit, and maybe also apply an artistic filter to them. Also maybe try to make the trees look like it's autumn, or add a little bit of color that would match the color of the sky, or a color that would extend the color of the frog. I like the color of the grass because I feel it matches the rest, it looks like it has been burnt by sunlight..

Thank you for your kind suggestions.

@gosseyn- It's not unusual to have a similar idea as another member. The island on an animal's back has been done many times so it's understandable that others would think along those lines. You can see an example here: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/3b/87/0b/3b870b245b8431b38ca4bb9fabb7df8e.png and also if you google phrases like "turtle island" you'll find more.

It's only when an image is particularly unique that another similar entry might be considered a copy of that image. I entered an image of a clown with a puppet of himself (http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-picture/4a723bdc98f1e/Confronting-His-Alter-Ego.html) which has been done many times before yet one member commented as though I "borrowed" someone's idea which was just another members version of the popular theme. It's up to you but even this author encourages you to enter your idea as well.
