Good idea, but you could have found a cactus with long spines...

This is a very good image.......almost! The area under the table looks like the light is falling the wrong direction and all the little bugs need a shadow. Other than that, I like it!

This cactus, though it's hard to see, has tiny strings attached to the spines it shoots at bugs and reels them back in to eat the bugs therefore making it a carnivorous plant

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I fixed the lighting under the table and added shadows to the insects
