Nice effect and really interesting image. I would suggest giving the red lizard another arm and making the present arm look more like it is resting on the plate using some more shadows.

looks pretty good, the shadows on the left lizard are off though. Highres would be nice!

Thanks for your comments everybody. I changed the background to green. If you view it in high res, you can see the texture of the cloth but I agree it looks more like a game table.
