Used all 6 sources. It was tough and the hardest was finding a spot for the shadows. I actually thought they looked like they were dancing so I tried to make a dance/wine and dine type theme. Hope it worked :)

(Sbs is a bit jacked up, I had previously done the bottle and wine glass and paper boat, and kept it in the images so I can see where I was at and my perspective with the table. I ended up changing it around a bit because there was a problem with part of the glass missing sorry). (5 years and 3536 days ago)

Very nice idea! Just a couple of small things: The wine bottle and glasss should probably be transparent in the area where they're empty; the wine looks a bit unnrealistic (try making it more settled and flat...looks a bit swirled up, unless you want it that way); the shadows of the glasses and bottle would also probably look better if they were a tad darker. Sorry to be so picky but you're done a great job so far and you have a good concept to work with.

Thanks for the tips gameastertip. Made changes and works a lot better.

The reflection need more opacity.

li3N says:

ramid; less opacity? .. This is no reflection; only a copy paste underneeth the original

avatar sunzet
sunzet says:

One the other hand there is almost no opacity at all in the original photo, so this might just be a corkscrew photographed on a mirror, and if that´s the case no opacity is needed. But it would though look better and more realistic if the glass and bottle faded away.

author says:

sunzet, I believe the original photo (corkscrew) was photographed on a mirror.

avatar sunzet
sunzet says:

Well, there you go then! But...if I can be picky (or just tippy) that would require a different angle of the mirrowed picture - wich is almost impossible to pull off if you don´t have that source as well. I know I wouldn´t anyway. GL

avatar erikuri
erikuri says:

Even on a mirror, if yoy pay attention, there's a little difference between the images (a bit, just a bit of low opacity is welcome...)

avatar erathion
erathion says:

Reflection need a lot more work...effect is nice but for the reflecyions need one good gradient layer and a slight changing position of the reflection....good luck

author says:

Made some changes according to suggestions. Hope this is better.

avatar sunzet
sunzet says:

It´s more opacity, but the wine in the mirror is darker than the other. There are some more changes that could be done, I just don´t know how explain that in english.

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

There should be some sort of horizontal plane depicted here, even if just slightly, and the reflections should have a little less value. Still, this is a good idea...

too bad the reflection sucks..

Good idea, but where's the x ray effect

avatar annabat
annabat [banned] says:

Though it typically wouldn't be an "xray", as they don't show color, I do like your take on it, it's creative, and well put together. At high res the lines are really blurry though.

avatar jawshoewhah
jawshoewhah [banned] says:

In high res, it looks like there's some lines near the chin that you forgot to blend. EDIT: Better.

You should tweak the reflection a bit... Looks like they are floating... But if you intended to make them look as they are floating then it's okay...

author says:

Thanks for the suggestion i change the reflection little bit...

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

You would only see the bottom of the plate in the reflection, and it should be closer to the plate and the reflection of the glass is crooked...

author says:

I hope it's better now...

avatar elficho
elficho says:

the reflections should be directly beneath the objects. which means you cannot select everything, flip it and put it lower. this way the plate and the mouse look like they're floating. also, this looks like a flat surface these objects are on so there would be no distortion on the reflections.

reflections are hard to get correct for sure.rule of thumb is usually remember reflections connect with the original image and either reflect in the surface below or stretch out depending on light source.. love your creation GL
