Very nice wings. Good on you for coming up with something creative for this tough contest! Maybe smooth out the top of the wings - they're a bit rough in high res (isn't it nice to know that people do zoom in to look?!)

You have a creative mind for sure. The source image is difficult to work with, that is why you will see only a few entries. You did a good job use of the source, changing it, into something mythical, a flying kind of winged creature....wow, that is imagination, I think you had several cups of coffee to come up with this wonderful idea. Very creative job author. I suggest to increase the darker areas on the lower-left side of the body, I like the lights on the beast back, but I think the darkest areas should be.... more darker! Just my opinion author. Good luck
