wack a doo... and very interesting! fun fun fun (not sure about the sharp line on the right side.. could use a bit of softening or erase.. but that's just IMHO.. great job!
EDIT: GOT IT!! hehehe
Quickly, the portal is visibile now. Go back in time with me, but hurry, I'm already beginning to vapourize...
Photo of woman is one that I took at Disney World. Saturation lowered on background and woman. Flamingo head used for umbrella handle, with plastic filter. "Flood" added to old sink 'portal' under woman, and noise added to woman with masking. Additional sink drain used for light on engine, beams, glow and fog painted in. (5 years and 2984 days ago)

Wow, good catch, Ernie! Thanks, fixed. (Palette must have been covering the edge and the layer had slid over - uploaded late...)
Good mood. Beams are at the wrong angle. See top edge of engine for correct perspective. To me it looks more like a motion blur as if the train were going backwards.
Thanks for the nudge, Bob, I was wrestling with those beams. This time I've duped the layer and blurred them, and widened at the right side. Looks better I think.
Lookin' better to me...GL!
I can't make out the sink at all, it's too vague and/or transparent.
Down in the southern part of the United States, we call a low spot a sink. And on a grander scale a "sink hole. in other words a sink is a catch basin for liquids. Now that wayfarer certainly looks like she is vaporizing into the sink hole. After looking at the source links the author has for damn sure used parts from TWO sinks.

The ears seem copy pasted to me. You should get s a fur brush a carefully blend the ears on the lion's head, also it needs some color changing :P yellow lions with gray ears? >.
This would look much better if the ears at least matched the lions in color, if not texture, which you can do through Image>Adjustments>Hue and Saturation.
It's a cute idea, but the somewhat lacking execution keeps it from being as strong an image as it could be.
Color matching the ears would make this a much better entry.
good idea author.. bt try to color match the ears for a better result.
The ears are all too identical, and the color is too pink for the lions.

Author, Great JOB but you need to place the pictures you used UN CUT in your SBS.. (you may have to show some of your work as well)
A high res could be useful so peeps can see the work better and give you a higher score for skill.. good luck and good work!
Adding a light yellow and medium yellow filters would help blending more the ears to the bird, good luck.
The edge of the ear on the right hand side needs to be slightly trimmed and adjusted at the head, it looks like part of the elephant head is showing.
Good bird photo, but try to color match the ears for a better result. GL author.

I made this entry for a contest on deviantart, and i decided to submit it here too. (5 years and 3014 days ago)
I can relate to this image. Personally, I always wear a flower print dress while wading in the ocean in the rain, especially when there are no maple trees within a mile of the shore. No drips coming off the hat or her arms? Amazing how she looks so dry...
thanks bob, u actually made me laugh..lol..u said exactly what my brother said when he saw it..i do think i gave the dress a wet look to it tho..i just had the image lying around and i wanted to see what others thought about it..thanks for the comment
Author, thanks for having a sense of humor. I just couldn't resist.
Oh yes! Save for those issues, this is looking real good just like a painting! (:
CMYK nailed it.
If you paint some "wet reflection" on her (or use the Plastic Wrap filter on a duplicate layer of her, then make that into a Layer Mask filled with black, and then judiciously paint the reflections you want onto her with a white brush), it will help with her looking so dry.
You might also want to have some water dripping off of her hat...
The Liquify Tool will help you make the dress less fluffy and dry, and more clingy and wet.
There is no hope for the out of place maple leaves except to get rid of them. They truly look odd in this image...
no problem Bob, i like a good joke, even if it's at my expense..lol..mossy i dont have the file anymore..if u look closely u can see water sprinkling off the hat..and if u look at the dress, it does have plastic wrap filter on it..FYI mossy, i'm pretty sure i know how layer masks work..but thanks..about the leaves, i like them so they stay..thanks for the comment
very awesome assembly, good luck author, a very fantasy picture, with a very nice mood
The thing is, it's pretty hard to imagine Bob instead of that woman...
No, I meant it's pretty hard to make a rainy image with a person if he/she's not already wet. You have to use plastic wrap, paint water dripping, and even overlay some underwear so that the dress looks transparent. It's pretty risky so we can understand people taking already walked paths.
You should check this though, i find it very realistic:
