We need the health and safety folk out for this one. Clear story here and good composition - vertical ladder and horizontal wires.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great angle to this shot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Lots to see here. An interesting perspective which is what this competition / exercise is all about.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Nice idea but I can't see enough detail on the statue to get a full feel for what it is a statue of.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Am I going boss eyed? I can't find a focal point.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Good edit / crop that emphasizes the subject. Well done.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great shapes and lines and beautifully horizontal. Super shot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Lovely clear lines and shapes. I like this a lot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)What an interesting shot. Great combination of components here.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Don't you get an interesting perspective on things when you look up?
(5 years and 640 days ago)What an interesting building. What has happened at the top of the shot - roof not fully in the image.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Interesting! Where was this?
(5 years and 640 days ago)Good shot but I would have preferred to see the top of the wheel in the photo.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great shot. Fabulous sky. You certainly get a good feel of the day winding down and relaxation ahead.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great shot. I love the lines - I always like lines!! The composition is very clever - the figure on the left leads the eye to follow his path into the shot and then the eye is free to move right and left along the margins of the fields so that you soak up the image and the colours. Excellent.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Wow! Fabulous shot. What a place to live! Very dramatic composition and depth to the shot. Remote rural area captured beautifully. I love the figures 'at the edge' in every sense.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great! Isn't the air clear in the mountains? It makes the image jump out at you. Super composition and vivid colours. Great sense of depth with the mountains climbing up high in the background. I like this shot a lot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Another super shot. The composition creates a great sense of depth to the image. Does the sun on the foreground draw attention away from the rest of the image? If it were cropped to reduce the amount of vivid colour there would it improve the shot? You would lose the nice bit of wall in the foreground however.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Super composition. The direction of the figures leads the eye to their distant destination. Great palette. Excellent shot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great perspective. Love the colours. Looks very cold. Great composition.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great sense of space.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I love the lines in this shot - the swoop down of the field and the trees 'marching' up in the other direction across the image. I keep looking at the hedge to the left. I have held up a piece of paper to get the feel of what it would be like without that there. Can't make up my mine whether it would be better cropped out to emphasize the lines and curves.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Great shot! Very suitable candidate for black and white treatment due to the contrasting tones. The texture of the roof and walls compliments the texture of the rocks. I like this one a lot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I like the depth to this image. It has 'volume' which makes a shot stand out.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Lovely simple lines and curves. Nice shot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Ah! Tuscany I assume with the lines of trees. Lovely shot - great sense of space due to the height and looking down. I also like that the colours are a little subdued not over saturated.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Moody atmosphere to this shot. I like the light catching the trees. Would the shot be better with the road cropped out. Might that give the scene a more 'remote' feel.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I like this shot. The path leads the eye into the image nicely as it takes you to the rocky crag. Where are you with these shots - where in the alps?
(5 years and 640 days ago)Lovely sense of space. Might the image be stronger if the crag to the right was cropped out leaving the focus on the more dramatic stack central in the photo?
(5 years and 640 days ago)Nice serene image. I like the stones in the foreground that add interest to the shot.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I like this a lot. The subject is clear and there are no incidental distractions. I keep thinking would it improve with a great depth of field but probably not. The shining scoop and the jar are central and sharp. The mind does the rest - it knows what we are looking at.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Wow! A brave photo. I might well have hurried on and not turned back. I think I will eat more veggies from now on. Its a challenge because of the content but as an image it catches the eye and gets you talking and thinking. Its not everywhere that meat comes in nice sanitized containers with cling film seals.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Super photo. Lots going on here. Quizzical looks from the lady cooled by the fan; customer trying on a hat; shop owner anxious to make a sale. Good composition with figures going diagonally across the image and lots of colour and shapes. I like it a lot.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Yes - I agree. Lots of fun and interest in this shot.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Nice study of the stall holder. Its a pity the two sets of hair blend into each other but a great study of character.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Good atmosphere to this photo. Dedication in the faces. Lots here to see and enjoy.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Really good. Concentration on the face and focus on the task of cutting the meat is very good. It brings the image alive. You can 'see' him cutting the meat.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Super angle of this image. You get a whole different perspective of the market. Nice interaction between stall holder and customer. Good image.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Great shot. I like the interaction between the two stall holders. This tells a story. I like it.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Aren't markets colourful. This shot really does capture those colours well.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Love the colour combinations here as well as the stacks of loaves. I think the shot would have been better taken 2 paces to the left so that the girl was not partially covered by the pole.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Would this have been better without the edge of the shelf and the sign. maybe change the angle and shoot the stall straight on. Interesting image.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Nice shot. Has the saturation been overdone - its something I am guilty of and try to watch that I don't 'overcook' the colour.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Love the colours and brightness of this image. Lots of different textures and shapes. I like it a lot.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Not sure what the focus of this shot is. Markets are notoriously difficult to capture - too often they just look too busy and lack a focus. This shot has lots of detail but no focus.
(5 years and 647 days ago)Lovely portrait. Great skin 'tone' and fabulous eyes and great use of light. I am one for symmetry so would have preferred to see more cropped from the right of the photo to put the face central in the image.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Great colour combinations. Rather a sinister effect but very dramatic. Well executed photo.
(5 years and 651 days ago)Great shot. Very well composed - the dark of the hills holding up the clouds and a great flash of colour between the near bank of clouds and the ones in the distance. Where was this taken?
(5 years and 651 days ago)I too love this image. Great warm colour; super horizontal lines (I like horizontals!); but the photo is 'made' by the spindly vegetation reflected in the water to create those interesting shapes. Your eye wanders all over the photo looking at the details. Very well done.
(5 years and 651 days ago)Rather an abstract effect. The image is well composed but I would have preferred the points of interest to have been sharp throughout.
