LOVE IT....like the ray of sunlight atop, the blue is crisp well saturated and it is so well centered. Top marks!
(5 years and 602 days ago)I think this image could improve without centered crop...keeping the men in boat to the right with more room for them to float into would help...however, that is strictly artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Love the patterns and the focal pop is perfect. Nice silhouette.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Lovely Zen like calming image. You do have some ghosting around the tree branches and a fair bit of noise. That orange reflection of the sun is placed artistically on the branch making it look like a burning bush errrr branch.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Sort of peacefull look about this, would level horizon a tad though
(5 years and 604 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 608 days ago)Congrats Adam, it's a great shot, worthy of Photo Exhibition material
(5 years and 608 days ago)like the title in this and a well seen photo this
(5 years and 609 days ago)The curve of the distant landscape together with the trees combine well, well seen and taken photo
(5 years and 609 days ago)The curve of the distant landscape together with the trees combine well, well seen and taken photo
(5 years and 609 days ago)Simplistic subject but done well
(5 years and 609 days ago)All I hate: running and fog :-P
(5 years and 609 days ago)I agree with photonut, there are many things to look at this picture: motorcycle, bike, taxi, monument, statue, street scene... this photo could have participated in multiple contests
(5 years and 609 days ago)yes I would crop them as well
(5 years and 611 days ago)I guess due to the smog in your area you are staying indoors and going through your stock of images. I like this one too, the focal point, the title, simple and strong following the KISS principle nicely.
(5 years and 611 days ago)Not only is the POV grand but I like the heavy saturation on this one, it is an OH WOW image.
(5 years and 611 days ago)What is especially nice in this sharp photo are the ghost like people shrouded in the mist as the side. The is also Photo Exhibtion material
(5 years and 611 days ago)I do think this is Photo Exhibition material and your title rocks!
(5 years and 611 days ago)I think we need a "from behind" contest. I like the exotica of this photo, technically sharp, has anyone mentioned those wires yet?
(5 years and 611 days ago)I love images like these that take us to faraway places and show us lives of others. This image has a lot going for it ....the colours and the absorption of the people into their work....they are oblivious of you and we get treated to see them au naturel, not posed.
(5 years and 611 days ago)sharp sharp sharp as a woman's tongue...What do you think about those red reflections at the base of the image....do they weaken the overall shot or add to it. I personally would have cropped up to get rid of them then there would have been no visual competition for the viewer.
(5 years and 611 days ago)Nice bucolic shot. Have you tried blending in a cloudy sky into the image by way of layers?
(5 years and 611 days ago)This is such a pleasure to view, it is full of excitement , warm glows, and your point of view rocks. You were walking on water to get this shot.
(5 years and 611 days ago)This would have done well in the blow out contest too. Nice high contrast image but you seem to have banding in the sky. Banding happens when in post processing you push the values too high. I like the two focal points acting like mirrors, each boat playing off the other.
(5 years and 611 days ago)Really strong image this and really like the angle in this one
(5 years and 611 days ago)like this one,but think b/w would be better and would crop some of each side to make much more of the focus on the couple
(5 years and 611 days ago)Think there is to much going on in this one, needs to be more of a focus on one point
(5 years and 611 days ago)again a good display photographed well
(5 years and 611 days ago)nice firework display, reminds me when I went and one of these displays many years ago
(5 years and 611 days ago)Well nice one this, like the whiteness behind the boats
(5 years and 611 days ago)Top notch.
(5 years and 615 days ago)I'm not sure how this photo, as interesting as it is, demonstrates the idiom
(5 years and 631 days ago)"glistens"
(5 years and 631 days ago)Certainly an idiom, but not sure that suits this image as such
(5 years and 631 days ago)yes do agree with olga on this one, tighter crop would be better
(5 years and 631 days ago)Funny enough I disagree with olga, think it would have better had they both been working, but that aside I still like it
(5 years and 631 days ago)I think a bit of a tighter crop at the sides would have enhanced this photo, although the "gold" does titillate. You have fantasticated this image well with exposure and saturation.
(5 years and 631 days ago)A heartwarming shot and the fact one of the fellows is looking at us (you) connects us more closely to the photo.
(5 years and 631 days ago)Like the darkness of this which frames and highlights the good pieces which are delicious eye candy.
(5 years and 631 days ago)Bwahhhhhhhh I know that phrase and this upload really shows the fuss. A great idiom and great image.
(5 years and 631 days ago)Well done Adam
(5 years and 635 days ago)Congrats Adam
(5 years and 635 days ago)My better half and me think this is photo exhibition material Adam!
(5 years and 636 days ago)Yes, it's a nice site but rather narrow minded as they do not give free breathing room for photos/art such a dog meat...on another site anything goes. It is what it is...and best of all it is free with nice prizes, just wish more people would review.
(5 years and 636 days ago)I like the marginal space at top, glad you didn't crop too much.
(5 years and 636 days ago)HOLY GUACAMOLE....top marks.
(5 years and 637 days ago)Minimalism, strong in b/w, artistic too. I think a bit more detail may be needed in that rock wall.
(5 years and 637 days ago)Mmmmmm, I love the story here, it adds to the rural tale...cooking pots, now only a photographer would shoot this. I like it and you perhaps monkeyed with the saturation, it works as it provides visual juxtaposition ...vibrant colours against mist...ahhhh.
(5 years and 637 days ago)Ahhh vast, rural and flooded rice paddies. The black and white helps pop out the patterns, the bright sky at the top might benefit from a bit of a nip as it is overpowering.
(5 years and 637 days ago)Next time take a bottle of red wine, Brenda and you drink it, they you can lay down on the hallowed grounds of Siam Reap and shoot Brenda! hic
