Sort of tourist shot and nothing wrong in that, but also agree a lower nearer angle would make her a bit more stronger in this,b/w was the way to go in this.
(5 years and 679 days ago)oooops second line has 8 syllables here is new version:
(5 years and 679 days ago)Perched awash in blue
Open billed stork in tree top
Red florets add spark!
Haiku is 5 - 7 - 5 where is it?
(5 years and 679 days ago)Here's mine for you:
Perched awash in blue
Open billed stork in a tree top
Red florets add spark!
Love the zen feel to this upload. Haiku, no charge.
How absolutely exotic and beautiful. Consider re-shooting this during diffused light conditions then you won't have that hot spot in the center. Lovely and great eyes.
(5 years and 679 days ago)This upload ROCKS. It look kaleidoscopic and against a muted sky like that all the details of the papaya and leaves really pop. Top marks for this. The colour saturation is natural and the image is sharp as a woman's tongue.
(5 years and 679 days ago)She looks like she is already in heaven. Is this a belly button POV, meaning you shot it at belly button level? Had you come down and shot up that feeling of looking up would have been stronger. I like the grunge effect and changing to b/w was the way to go. I also like Brenda
(5 years and 679 days ago)Well seen and well executed. You could also crop out the entire L section and just have her melting into black...I know it is all about artistic prerogative and I bow to yours. Nice and sharp, good communication between photographer and subject and I love her black black black eyes.
(5 years and 684 days ago)Sharp on the eyes GOOD. I do think a bit of skin softener would enhance this beautiful face. I can feel my eyes fighting between her eyes and those teeth back and forth and back and forth. Nice dof and the pose is very comfortable. Crop is appropriate with marginal space.
(5 years and 684 days ago)Yes the b/w gives this one a different approach and again having the market trader in gives it a bit more oomph, still would title your photos
(5 years and 687 days ago)Also not sure about the bags, but getting the market trader in does make this one more vibrant.
(5 years and 687 days ago)Also agree about title, but also think you needed to get nearer the market stall to get a more vibrant image.
(5 years and 687 days ago)You need to title your photos not only Entry number 105764. Nicely seen this shot, again has that exotica feel to it. Like the motorcycle in the corner, thought it might be you!
(5 years and 687 days ago)Most won't know what those plastic bags are doing dead center of this stall. The hanging wire is lost due to movement and the meat has a look of artist filter on it. Did you use oil paint filter? Anyhow, it's a nice and warm photograph with connection of subject to viewer.
(5 years and 687 days ago)Like this one in b.w good choice. That calendar is a dead giveaway as to location and aritst (wink). Very exotic.
(5 years and 687 days ago)There is nothing in the rules that says you can't crop your photos.
(5 years and 691 days ago)Fresh eyes are always a blessing, even when they see things differently.
(5 years and 691 days ago)I think this photo would have been much stronger with a tighter crop taking out that figure at the left, leave only the man struggling with stroller and take out the figure in the distance. I know you cannot do this for these contests but in case you are thinking of submitting this into a Photo Exhibition somewhere...that's just a suggestion. I really like your photo and the story behind it.
(5 years and 691 days ago)Looks like Thai boats...ahhh Koh Lanta, of course! A romantic getaway, this would look great in a travel magazine. Tide is down, the day is ending and your piece is embedded with peace.
(5 years and 691 days ago)A real eye grabber here with silhouettes at rest at the end of the day and the colours are vibrant and visually excite us. I like this shot a lot.
(5 years and 691 days ago)I like the mystery of this portrait. Having her look "over there" versus at you further adds meat to the story. She is behind bars, looking towards......well, you can read a lot into this post. The shot is well composed, balanced, good skin tones...(have you tried soften skin lever on NIK software?). Nice contrast, sharp and clear. You need to put your title TRAPPED....into where you have your entry number. Titles matter and often in gallery showings a title can mean the difference between a sale and no sale.
(5 years and 692 days ago)Seems like a weird place to be pushing a baby stroller.
(5 years and 693 days ago)That is the artist in you begging to come out.
(5 years and 978 days ago)Try using your tripod, and bracketing by 3 EV rate, blend in Photomatix and have fun.
(5 years and 978 days ago)A photographer with balls to put this up. Love the creativity, you could add more colour with PS manipulation (which is not allowed with these contests but for the Photo Exhibition you could blow this outta da vater! )
(5 years and 978 days ago)This is an oh wow photograph with much visual eye candy to delight us. Nicely done kind sir!
(5 years and 978 days ago)Adam, try this in high contrast monochrome and see if you like it better.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Your photographic elements lead us right to that golden spot of grid lines crossing. Your thoughtfulness in composition is seen here. It is too bad that the sky was not cooperating with you on this day, but that is how it goes sometimes.
(5 years and 992 days ago)Love this one for it has a strong personality and speaks to me. Images, when they are good speak to viewers. I can almost hear this one gurgling. Technically well rendered as well.
(5 years and 992 days ago)Nice photograph that is full of story and you have those men completely oblivious to your camera. A photograph that if posted in the annual Photo Exhibition would make passers by stop to study it
(5 years and 992 days ago)They should have just said Phuket.
(5 years and 995 days ago)Funny little Vietnamese.
(5 years and 995 days ago)Congrats Adam on winning
(5 years and 1025 days ago)Congrats Adam
(5 years and 1025 days ago)Congratulations on 1st place.
(5 years and 1025 days ago)And a nice job at that.
(5 years and 1026 days ago)Are they sort of like terraced rice fields? I would love to go there, the view looks mesmerising, good luck with your entry
(5 years and 1030 days ago)So beautiful
(5 years and 1030 days ago)This is a greaat shot full of story through and through. If you have PS try painting out the reddish colour of the glass and keep everything else black. You cannot do that for this contest, it's just a suggestion for you to have fun with.
(5 years and 1034 days ago)Jack will definetly not come back
(5 years and 1035 days ago)good that you see people at work and this is a good example, first thought would be to crop this and make a more verticall shot, but then looking at this a bit more it shows his work tools as well.
(5 years and 1035 days ago)very nice
(5 years and 1035 days ago)You can't delete it, but you can . replace it. Go to
(5 years and 1035 days ago)profile
My entries
find the entry and replace it with an other photo.
This contest is for portraits of people.
(5 years and 1035 days ago)HE HE HE....I wonder whose photo this is????? Careful, because brown is not orange and the modertors may disqualify you. I've checked for seepage of colour and you have a lot. Blow up the image and look at the margins of first monk, second monk and wwwwoooooaaaaaa you will see not only seepage but gray coming into the orange. use you X and remove any naughty wayward streaks...OR ....you can use your desaturate brush to remove orange or other colour outside but you will not be able to put it back unless you clone it in and then it looks wonky.
(5 years and 1037 days ago)Glad to see you here...the site is a lot of fun.
