Don't remove ALL the footprints, just the once between two.

I think this is a nice idea too. The problem with the foot prints is they are those of a animal... probably bunny.. Models do tend to walk the catwalk with one foot in front of the other, but this model is doing that in the snow with teeny little feet :p . Erasing them would make it more unrealistic. i think derivatix has a good point about the dress leaving a mark too which might help you with the footprint problem... the long dress behind the feet would kinda erase them a bit..

very nice work author, like the change you did with the snow and different background. Other than she's barefoot and does not wear much I notice that the the mirroring in the water has no source? The trees in the background can't be the reason for it, they are too far away. The track in the snow is done pretty good, but wouldn't her long dress have left some mark on the snow, too?

There are a lot of really good things about this image; however, the rocks and lava and background are way too sharp in comparrison to the devil, who is slightly blurred. Since the devil is the focus of the image, you should blur the rest of the image just enough to match her. Also make the upper part of the background (which the mind assumes is farther away) darker to put more focus on the devil.

Interesting idea. But I agree with CMYK about the darkness. I feel you need to have the horizon almost visible for the distinction between the reflection, but thats your call. I would work more on your edges - like the fingers. They seem rushed compared to the rest of the image. Also your girl is in focus, the background blurred and the moon is also in focus? GL.

All the blacks in the foreground, middle ground & foreground make this image confusing...

Well that was cool... Actually I didn't mind the format... The image before looked better... And also not every cover opens from the front side e.g. in japan it opens from the back side... So your previous version was not wrong if you did it intentionally... Well I am adapted to reading both from left to right and right to left... Same case goes for opening a book or cd in this case... So it doesn't matter to me... Anyway again nice cover

Edit: It's just an suggestion, If you haven't merged your psd file and the sections are movable, don't cut and re arrange... Instead just shift the text...

And it would also different, the whole band at the back cover instead of the front cover... Although you will need clever song placement as not to overlap their faces...

Switch the covers...back is in front & vice versa...otherwise this looks pretty good.

A very beautiful image, but i think the way the girl is dressed is more modern than medieval, i'd say georgian or victorian. Fantastic image though, good luck!
