Yes it is.
(5 years and 661 days ago)I am not sure if the second place entry had legal sources. You may move to third place if so. Check it out RT.
(5 years and 662 days ago)Those are like the most important stuff. A quick and dirty trick is to try the Nik Collection filters. I'm not really a 3rd party filters person, but these are good and are free. They were $500, however Google gives them away for free now. Better grab them while you can because Google has sold them to DXO. It's easy stuff and may, or may not work.

(5 years and 668 days ago)Soylent Green.
(5 years and 672 days ago)That Great Blue Heron is one of my favorite birds. Lots of work put into this Chop.
(5 years and 673 days ago)Good fantasy scene. I like the light wrapping around the two islands on the left and the one in the bottom right. Maybe add a tad of light on the top of the boat balloon thing where it is dark? (kind of in the upper left area)
(5 years and 674 days ago)Someone likes doggies. Lots of work put into this one for sure.
(5 years and 674 days ago)Gorgeous work of art!!! Very beautiful.
(5 years and 676 days ago)And the Photoshop is pretty good too.
There are a few ways to take care of that ghosting along the edges. Of course using a brush at first to mask them out or trace around and fill it with black or white, but you don't always have to do that. You can Clip a Hard Light Layer on top of the tree (doesn't have to be Hard Light but that's what I use most of the time), then sample an area nearby and brush away the ghosty/haze stuff. I tend to use the clone tool for this instead of brushing as it's easier. Also in your Layer Styles you can try an "Inner Glow" (using various Layer Blend Modes, Opacity, etc) which can get rid of a great deal of that junk. I did something with a house a while ago and it had just a tad of residual blue from the sky. A brownish Inner Glow got rid of it which saved me a ton of time rather than trying to mask or paint it out.
(5 years and 676 days ago)This is about as easy as can be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P54l0nP4GY
(5 years and 676 days ago)This video is more advanced where you can get even finer details http://tutvid.com/photoshop-tutorials/how-to-select-difficult-hair-photoshop/
Did you delete your post that I replied to?
(5 years and 676 days ago)Oh... I can show you how to cut out that Baobab tree in about less than a minute. You need to learn "Channel Masking" as well as using "Calculations". PM me and I will either help you or find a tutorial for ya.
(5 years and 676 days ago)Congrats Z
(5 years and 676 days ago)Congrats my friend. How do they determine who won when it's a tie?
(5 years and 676 days ago)How does she get up and down?
(5 years and 676 days ago)That plane looks like a nightmare to cut out.
(5 years and 676 days ago)Is the monk secretly in love with the ballerina? Or is he spying on her to learn some moves for the Shaolin Ball? Perhaps she is trying to "woo" the monk with her beautiful dance..
(5 years and 676 days ago)A few suggestions. The bottom of the barn is not blended in well with that snow. Quick and easy fix would be to clone some snow on top of the barn. Just "dab" with a soft round brush to to make high-ish and low-ish points so it's not just a straight line.
That blue in her skirt-thing is distracting. A quick fix would be to Clip a Hue/Sat Layer and adjust the "Lightness" of either the Blues and/or Cyans to make them more white. After that, make sure the Adjustment Layer's Mask is all Black to hide what you just did. Then paint white on the mask where the blue yucky stuff is. Now it's all gone. Also as Zizounai said, there is a bunch of residue garbage all around the girl. It shows up when you are zoomed in.
In my opinion her skin is too warm so you may want to give it more of a blue tint to reflect the "Coolness" of the snow scene. Perhaps a Cooling Filter, masked only to her skin, would be easiest or however you see fit. There is too much black under her foot, and when you cut her out you missed a nice chunk between her knees.
Besides that, it's a pretty cool fantasy scene.
Yes, as Zizounai said, the coins are not cut out well. It won't take much time to trace around them with a lasso, or use the pen tool to make the curved lines around them. There's not much contrast or hard edges in the coins, but you still may be able to use the Quick Select Tool. You have a really good idea, and it brought a smile to my face on how you used the cash register.
(5 years and 676 days ago)Good luck Author. Hope you can save your entry. It is a bit of a challenge to get the hang of it here, but once you do this place is the bestest. If you need more help you can ask questions here. The mods are friendly and the people are helpful. You can even PM a mod for guidance using this link http://www.pxleyes.com/pm/Pxleyes%20Moderator%20Team/
(5 years and 676 days ago)FYI when you go to your "PROFILE" link at the top (rightish) of the page, and then click "my messages" you will see the link to "( PM the moderators )".
Those are ladybugs.
(5 years and 676 days ago)Yes, you will be forever shamed. haha. Not an issue at all NuclearGumbo. people use previous sources in their Chops all the time. I kinda like it cause it brings back memories.
(5 years and 690 days ago)We used that eye in this Photoshop contest http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-contest/22441/single-eye.html
(5 years and 690 days ago)Does the seal like cheese?
(5 years and 690 days ago)Good work. It tells a story. Times are changing. Tom is walking in the pristine wilderness only to be greeted by a monstrosity of modern technology.
(5 years and 690 days ago)Thanks for making me dizzy!
(5 years and 690 days ago)I would go fishing. I'm a rebel like that.
