Winna!!
(5 years and 820 days ago)Pretty bizarre Z.
(5 years and 821 days ago)I must have been sleeping for a few days because I missed this contest.
(5 years and 821 days ago)Nice chop and a very complicated SBS. You do good work skyangel.
(5 years and 821 days ago)Good chop Zizounai.
(5 years and 821 days ago)Nice dog fur on the hands. Wish you woulda made an SBS to show how it was done.
(5 years and 821 days ago)YW author. They do look better now. They don't look like they are floating in the air. I got some more suggestions if you would like to hear.
(5 years and 821 days ago)Maybe I said that wrong. I meant some dark color where your subjects touch the ground. Here, I made a gif, using the boy's feet to show you what I mean. https://i.imgur.com/2tfukZe.gif
(5 years and 821 days ago)I used black in this gif, but it's probably best to sample a dark color by the boy's feet using the eye dropper. You can then use PS's Color Picker to make that sampled color lighter or darker. I used a 33% opacity brush, but went over it a couple times or so. IMO he looks more "attached" to the ground now.
Neat idea. Maybe brush some very dark color either on a multiply, or hard light layer underneath them where they join the ground. Just a very small amount. This will connect them to the ground and make it look like the are not floating in the air. Look very closely at your source images and you will see what I am saying. You can use several layers if needed. Sometimes I do a very very fine real dark layer of shadows, and then a more spread out lighter one, and sometimes even a lighter one spread out more. Gaussian Blur can be helpful on the shadows but isn't always needed. Better yet, check out some video tutorials on this. Just making nice shadows will increase the believability of your Chops by a lot.
(5 years and 821 days ago)Creepy. Use stock Photoshop Brush #112 to brush back in her eye lashes where the skull is. It's a "hair" brush. And maybe a little less opacity on the tear so her skin just shows.
(5 years and 823 days ago)I concur still26. It's pretty crazy that we can create art like this. Just a generation ago this was impossible.
(5 years and 825 days ago)"Please don't be shy to tell me how to improve in photo manipulation work as I'm fairly new to it. Thanks again. "
(5 years and 827 days ago)There is a site called Udemy that does online courses. They are offering a Photoshop course called "Mastering Photoshop CC 2017: Learn like a Pro" for FREE!!! It's a 20 hour course and retails for $200 (yea right).
https://www.udemy.com/adobe-photoshop-cc-for-beginners-online/?couponCode=NIEL2017&siteID=TnL5HPStwNw-TGk4oxkI3E3siprLVMNDeA&LSNPUBID=TnL5HPStwNw
If you ever need any help, feel free to PM me. I am always eager to talk Photoshop so don't be shy. I will try to critique your Chops from now on and maybe it will help.
Google Video Search and Youtube are chock full of video tutorials from beginner to advanced. Even Googling some variant of "Photoshop Tutorial" into Google Images can work. You get to see the image of what the tutorial is about, and pick one that suits your needs. You can Google things like "Scary Photoshop Tutorial", "How to do Shadows in Photoshop Tutorial" or w/e. The other day I didn't know how to make stars, so I Googled "How to Make Stars in Photoshop Tutorial" and now I am a master haha.
***MODS*** please note that I am in no way affiliated with Udemy, nor to the best of my knowledge is this an affiliate link as I got it from Google. If this is against the rules to post links like this, feel free to delete that from this post.
Don't sell yourself short still26.
(5 years and 827 days ago)Two times in this contest where I really didn't agree with the scoring. This was a nice chop George55 and should have been voted higher. Perhaps people didn't view your SBS and see the work and imagination involved.
(5 years and 827 days ago)Most of the time I agree with the judging here, but this was under-rated. A nice feel-good chop. I even downloaded the Fairy-dust brushes.
(5 years and 827 days ago)YW seestah. Where was that photo taken?
(5 years and 827 days ago)This was destined to win. All the others were really good too, but this one rose above. Good work skyangel.
(5 years and 828 days ago)Congrats George55
(5 years and 828 days ago)Congrats still26.
(5 years and 828 days ago)I agree with this.
(5 years and 830 days ago)Oh my, that lens distortion is making me dizzy.
(5 years and 830 days ago)Yo Author, I was talking about the original source image and not your Chop. If you look at the source http://www.pxleyes.com/images/contests/girl-in-fur/fullsize/sourceimage.jpg, the fur in the center, is out of focus. I thought that's what still26 was talking about.
(5 years and 830 days ago)Yea still.. I saw the same thing with the blurry fur.
(5 years and 830 days ago)Lovely watercolor.
(5 years and 831 days ago)Good chop. BWR approved.
(5 years and 831 days ago)Great work author. Good SBS also. good luck!!
(5 years and 831 days ago)The video in your SBS silly. :-O
(5 years and 833 days ago)I like your version better than the one in the video.
(5 years and 837 days ago)Aliens need to leave Florida now. hurricane a coming.
(5 years and 840 days ago)Is that a Florida crocodile?
(5 years and 841 days ago)Nice work anyar. Imaginative Photoshop.
2nd and 3rd. Not bad.
(5 years and 841 days ago)Congratulations Z.
(5 years and 841 days ago)good work Zizounai.
(5 years and 841 days ago)Right on George. Congrats brother.
(5 years and 841 days ago)Much deserved win. Fantastic job skyangel.
(5 years and 841 days ago)Here's some more suggestions. Please understand that I am not knocking your Chop. It's a great job and a work of art. I sometimes critique what I think are the better Chops a bit more.
(5 years and 846 days ago)https://image.ibb.co/hheDcQ/hints.jpg
I concur.
(5 years and 846 days ago)Wonderful work!! My only critique is the flowers and branches look a little flat. More so the flowers. I don't know a real way to fix that, but I imagine some dark and light colored brushing on Hard and/or Soft Light layers may help. And/or try Dodge/Burn on a 50% Grey, Hard/Soft Light Layer. Maybe also put a line down the center of the leaves like a real leaf has (hope that made sense). Similar to the lines you put on the flowers.
(5 years and 846 days ago)But overall an ace job. Very impressive and imaginative. Very nice SBS too.
Congrats DS.
(5 years and 848 days ago)Congrats on your win G..
(5 years and 848 days ago)2nd *AND* 3rd place. Cool.
(5 years and 848 days ago)Congrats Zizounai
(5 years and 848 days ago)What a great idea. Executed very nice. I can say that I am impressed.
(5 years and 851 days ago)Now that's bizarre. And clever.
(5 years and 854 days ago)So tiny. Can hardly see the full res.
(5 years and 854 days ago)Congrats skyangel
(5 years and 854 days ago)Congrats Zizounai!!!!!
(5 years and 854 days ago)I liked this one. Was too late to vote on it though.
(5 years and 854 days ago)I can deal with that haha. These Chops do require imagination while making them, and require imagination while viewing them.
(5 years and 874 days ago)Christoph where are you??!!! Come bask in your glory!!
(5 years and 874 days ago)
