Very nice work but dont really get what it is emerging from. IMO it looks like it is just sitting on a table.

IMO the render would really benefit from altering the camera. So that camera is just about touching the spear tip then loads of perspective and maybe a depth of field. Also rotate it so more handle is in shot.

I think your model is good but its a little hard to tell what it is without the title.

I understand what you are saying regarding jawshoewhah's comment, and I suppose this would technically be classed as cliff jumping/diving rather than falling. However this IMO is really close to off theme. I would have initially called this off theme, however thinking about it I am not so sure any more. I wouldn't like to say either way!
