I like it rotated like this. If it was "normal" it'd be a nice shot, but this perspective makes it much more interesting. You have to look at it for a second to figure it out

Your shot would have been much better with the sun behind. This can be a common error in outdoor photography. There are ways to get a creative shot with the sun in front of you but for the purpose of this contest and this image, it didn't work. So I share the same opinion. My advice? Replace it with something a little less directly into the sun.
