The golden light accentuates the colour of the old driftwood. It is very grounded, however, and not adrift. Good photo.

I'm not sure why you would submit it then. I believe that you are misinterpreting the goal. It is not to show an old, burnt out photo, but to show a good photo of a vintage object.

There is nothing in the rules that says it must be an insect. You can see the dirt still on him from being uncovered and discovered. Right on theme.

A crop to bring him off center a little more would make a better impact and give us more detail in the deer.

The male swans can be quite aggressive during mating season. Last year one landed right in a friends dinghy when he was rowing with his dog. I wish that I had a photo of that!
