I agree. A little less saturation would still show off the colours, but more naturally.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)A little over-sharpened for my liking, but a very good portrait. The model appears quite cooperative.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Good detail in the feathers.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)I hate to say it, but only a woman would buy this.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Good macro. Colours are great.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Hard to say whether this is a "P" (potato) photo or an "E" (eye" photo, but whatever it is, it is very well done.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)IMHO, it might have been more effective as an eye if it was rotated horizontally. Nicely done.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)I like the texture and simplicity of this one. Wood is amazing.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)I was wondering about the title and what it had to do with wood, not knowing much about Picasso's art. Thanks for the explanation. Intriguing photo.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)The golden light accentuates the colour of the old driftwood. It is very grounded, however, and not adrift. Good photo.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)I like the angle and the way the grain radiates into the corner.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Nice detail, texture and DOF.
(5 years and 2437 days ago)Very nice textures.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)I'm too young to know what that is! (Just joking) I'm sure glad that we have digital now. Nice find and photo.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)Very, very busy with the carpet.Definitely vintage style.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)Looks good in black and white.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)Nicely done. I wish that we had the high res to get a better look for judging.
(5 years and 2438 days ago)Same here, too. I guess that it makes more sense than carrying around a pocketful of change, especially when the rates have become so high, but - - -
(5 years and 2438 days ago)Lovely.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)Lighting looks a little odd around the hair, horizon and trees. Extreme high contrast in processing? Quite effective mood for a book cover.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)This definitely looks like it could be a book cover. Very well done. Good old Dirk Pitt, he saves the day once again.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)I can hear the ocean singing. Beautiful mood.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)A little dark (in every sense of the word), but quite funny.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)I like the colour and mood of this one.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)I wonder if he knows that his zipper is down. lol. An unfair advantage. The devil is in the details. Nicely done portrait.
(5 years and 2439 days ago)I'm not sure why you would submit it then. I believe that you are misinterpreting the goal. It is not to show an old, burnt out photo, but to show a good photo of a vintage object.
(5 years and 2441 days ago)There is nothing in the rules that says it must be an insect. You can see the dirt still on him from being uncovered and discovered. Right on theme.
(5 years and 2447 days ago)A crop to bring him off center a little more would make a better impact and give us more detail in the deer.
(5 years and 2447 days ago)The male swans can be quite aggressive during mating season. Last year one landed right in a friends dinghy when he was rowing with his dog. I wish that I had a photo of that!
(5 years and 2447 days ago)Feels very much like being in the jungle.
(5 years and 2447 days ago)Beautiful animal. Good shot. Was this in a zoo or in the wild? Not that it matters, just curious.
(5 years and 2447 days ago)I like the way that the colours in the bokeh match the colours in the hawk. Can you upload again with the high res button checked so that we can see the photo better for judging and voting?
(5 years and 2447 days ago)Very nicely done. I wouldn't want to put my finger in there. Looks like it would hurt.
(5 years and 2449 days ago)Got my attention. A big step above the mediocre. Very nice.
(5 years and 2449 days ago)Very nice lighting, interesting photo and handsome model.
(5 years and 2449 days ago)Just to add a note to the above information from Heathcliffe. Photos can be edited or changed at any time up until the entries have been closed for voting only. After that, no changes are possible. Better luck next time. It takes a while to figure out all of the details on the site.
(5 years and 2450 days ago)More of a looking up than a going low, but great angles.
(5 years and 2450 days ago)Not my dream, but you never can tell what appeals to others, especially if they have no home or live in jammed quarters in the middle of the city.
(5 years and 2450 days ago)Nice capture, but I bet that she would hate you for it!
(5 years and 2450 days ago)I would love to live there! Nice light and beautiful house. The big porches are great.
(5 years and 2452 days ago)Lovely scene.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Babbling beauty.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Very silky, indeed. I love neutral density shots.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Nice mood and light.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Nice detail and texture.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)If that's a snack, what do you have for your dinner? Big appetite! Good shot.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)I shouldn't look at these before dinner. Making me hungry. Nice detail.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Looks yummy.
(5 years and 2453 days ago)Nice back-lit glow on the cow and fence..
(5 years and 2454 days ago)Oh my goodness. Poor thing. Sad to see an animal so starved.
