In the SBS steps 1-3 seem to be identical, and you don't show how you assembled the figures. Ponti is correct about the lighting, but this is an excellent idea.

The animals themselves wouldn't be quite so blurry, but could have more motion blur trails...what would really make this would be if you had one actually splashing into the water!

Good one! The shadow of the shoe could be lighter, and it has a different light source than the shadow of the barbed wire on the inside of the shoe.

Link posted doesn't lead to hand used. Edges of hand should be softened. Light source of main image is from left, so hand shadow is wrong. Would be better to make SBS to show how hand texture was made (which isn't included in source links).

Well, since they're about half the hight of the bike that was on the same piece of ground, I'd say they're a wee bit tiny...making them larger would improve the composition anyway.
