Fake hair doesn't work. Would suggest reverting to source pic hair. A real frame would help, too. Texture is fine.

Yep, shadows should be more transparent. I assume you made the rocket...you have a stray piece of the shadow at the back end to remove, and I'd darken the background sky so the smoke trail is more visible.

Check the shadow of the snail on the pumpkin. Primary light source is from viewer's right. The snail on the gourd at lower right could use a shadow too. Otherwise this is a fun image, and well done.

First of all, the default setting on my lasso or pen tool is always set to a one pixel blur so I don't have sharp edges to mess with later. But all I'd do is select the outside of the face, expand 1 pixel, and then Select/modify/feather 1 pixel and clear.

All edges, but especially the face. The lighting looks consistent to me.

Just to be clear, it's more the angle of the shadow. Look at the shadows of the windmill blades to see the light source.
