The labels describe the origin of the fruit depicted, and were mostly flat color lithographs, not as photographic as this.

Very much in the spirit of the contest! May I make a small nit pick? The light on the apples is from our right, so IMO the highlight on the lettering would be from the right also. Having said that, it's a lovely image.

To my eye the liquid is a bit too red, otherwise this is a great job!

The framing of the image should be vertical rather than horizontal, and to me there is nothing chaotic about a night scene with a gentle snow fall.

Light on figures is from the left. Light on columns is from the right. Flip one or the other to get the lighting right. Otherwise it's a good blend.

Look at the background shadows...light is from the left. If you flip the structure and integrate the ground with the source image it would improve your entry. GL author.

Rocket is too distorted, otherwise a fun image.

There wouldn't be a shadow behind the woman since the plane is 90 degrees downward. That entire plane would be in shadow, not just her.

Please fix link 1. Boxes need shadows. Also post a link for the sky.

A drop shadow against a distant background is a no-no. Drop shadows only work against a flat background.
