The problem with flopping an image like this is half the shadows are wrong.

Good idea, but the top rim of the hydrant isn't very well defined, and your background would look better if you rotated it 90 degrees so the bricks looked normal. This way it's distracting. GL author.

Perspective on wings is wrong...far wing should be larger. Good idea over all, but I think you need more source links and/or a good SBS.

Sorry, but animated GIF SBS's just don't make it. It's a trend that should be squashed like a bug. Sure, the images are there, but nobody knows how you achieved those images because you don't take the trouble to explain them along the way. A good SBS should be like a mini tutorial that helps the viewer learn.
That said, you've made a good image here, and it deserves a good vote from me!

Well, this is a cheap way of making it work, but color matching would have been far better, and shown off your PS skills as well.

Agreed, must have a better background. If you must have the reflections, put them on ice or something.

Instead of just chopping off the hydrant in mid air, have it coming out of a cloud, or maybe put it on the ground disk.
