I don't object to the subject matter, but I'd think you would pay attention to light sources. The light on the dog is clearly from upper right (look at tail shadow) and the light on the statue is clearly from upper left.

Author, I must agree with Geexman, even though I respect you and your work. This entry could almost be a test case for our discussions in the forum about this very mix of 2D and 3D. There's just too much 3D here to be admissable. Look harder for other 2D sources, or change your idea to fit what you can find. I'm getting tired of this 2D vs. 3D argument, and ironically I think you're proving my point here. Again, no ill will toward you, but this is not a 2D entry.

Interesting, but the bike's a bit distorted vertically, and there's pink on some background areas.

Looks like a normal perspective shot of the ball going towards the goal. Background small, foreground larger. That's how it works.
(Actually the background should be blurred a bit.)

Great work! I'd reduce the opacity of the clouds a bit in the final version, just because the creature looks so cool in the previous step, but that's just my two cents.

Light source on raven is opposite light on moon. Just flip one.

Light source is from behind, but highlight on the foreground figure is at right.

This is a great image! One thing confuses me: where's the transition between the surface, where the ship is reflected, and under the surface?

Pretty good, but try to make the figure stand out from the background.

Maybe it's surrealism, maybe it isn't. What it's not is well thought out. The ships are all identical & facing the same way. You have no source for the twisty spire things, or the dark watery looking stuff in the foreground. The ships should at least be flipped horizontally, since the light source is from left and their shadows are at left. Same with the spires.

Author, I like your concept, but somehow it needs another dimension. Pasting a bird pic onto a background is hardly surrealism, but it is a dramatic visual statement. Take it a step further.

Shadows are wrong, and too dark...you'd be better off without them. Looks good otherwise.

Nice job reconstructing the shed! Crop out the part of your lighting effect that's casting shadows on the siding at left...light doesn't go around corners.
