Pretty scary critter! Like the way you created the background, shadows and placement are very realistic. I didn't know it was created until I looked at the SBS ... good work. Great idea!
(5 years and 3355 days ago)Ah ok..fine then..good luck
(5 years and 3355 days ago)Blending could be better as you lost the snake's own skin texture on top of its body
(5 years and 3355 days ago)Great! There is a certain purity about it..... (Just like the author)
(5 years and 3356 days ago)It seems he is carrying a hard and heavy burden in his life...
(5 years and 3357 days ago)I just voted, and I was very surprised to see it was you! You're usually more confident in your work, it seems to be worried about what I say!! I didn't say it before, but I really like the image.
(5 years and 3357 days ago)Actually, I do use my own sources. Not everytime. I never said that I did. All I'm saying is that if you can't find the source that you want, make it. I didn't say it to start a fight! it was just a suggestion, crazy!
(5 years and 3357 days ago)I really didn't have a problem with the shadows on your source in the first place! Sheesh!
And I have 3 photoshop entries that feature me, my daughter and my fiance. The livingroom in my 3D entry is my livingroom. ALL of the textures are photographs of my actual furniture, the floor, the carpet and the walls of my livingroom. You can look at my reference photo of my living room and see that.
I can easily forgive the jean's shadows for this terrifically good idea. For me it screams some catchy poster slogan, good work author..
(5 years and 3357 days ago)Yeah, the sun makes shaddows if your back is to it. Try at one or two facing west. Your subject doesn't have a head so you don't have to worry about squinting. Or use flood lights. My point is only that these contests are more satisfying (to me, anyway) when you use your own sources.
(5 years and 3357 days ago)Lovely and clever ... this is a very fun image and I agree completely with Spaceranger ... the sense of whimsy and childlike simplicity is wonderful.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)i like it but i'm agree with (blaine2nd )
(5 years and 3358 days ago)sheesh hey author ;p
(5 years and 3358 days ago)Make a source with no shaddows! Grab a camera, go outside in the sun and snap away. Sources don't have to come from the internet. Use your own. It's more satisfying that way, anway.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)The shadows on the clothes aren't consistent with the light source.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)This does have a nice child like quality. Good use of the source textures. Refreshing approach IMHO.
(5 years and 3359 days ago)very nice i dea ,but you can't see the photo from the contest ,good luck
(5 years and 3359 days ago)nice idea well done!
(5 years and 3359 days ago)very nice chop....good luck
(5 years and 3359 days ago)Ouch >.< it hurts just to look at it, great composition!
(5 years and 3360 days ago)Simple, clean work, good result.. good luck
(5 years and 3360 days ago)Interesting, work on the hair masking.. looks too blurry and too featherd, try using the smudge brush with a 2-3px soft 50% opacity and make some hair edges ... good luck!
(5 years and 3360 days ago)Truly terrifying! Well done though!
(5 years and 3360 days ago)Nice blend even if it is a tad disturbing -- shadow looks very good
(5 years and 3361 days ago)Cool...hahahahhaha...best of luck
(5 years and 3374 days ago)Ahhhh i so agree with the Geex about this...u made it well author, somehow i was sure that this was u,space is your region... I like this work, creatures are made well, and they are very interesting, rest of the image too...its very refreshing by IMHO to see something like this, not only flowers and death nature...well done author
(5 years and 3374 days ago)wonderful work .........
(5 years and 3374 days ago)Great Idea. Imho, I agree with hsbee, the man does look kinda bright and also, a little cut out. Is he supposed to be in the elevator shaft? If he was inside the shaft he should have some shadows on the sides of his body indicating the light coming in through the open door, or some other indication of a light source. Are there lights in the empty elevator shaft? Oh, I see now. You need a shadow to show the light spilling into the shaft of the elevator. I believe this will make it look less like the guy is just floating there.
(5 years and 3374 days ago)Awesome! GL!
(5 years and 3374 days ago)I'll have to share that with him
(5 years and 3374 days ago)hahahahaha
(5 years and 3375 days ago)It was really a awesome work!
Oh dear. They're friendly...right? Great job!
(5 years and 3375 days ago)Great ... laughed out loud at this one ... everyone at work wondered if I was crazy. No, wait, they know that already!
(5 years and 3375 days ago)Wonderfully fun image ... love the depth of field!
(5 years and 3376 days ago)very funny... awesome job done..
(5 years and 3376 days ago)I don't mean to be mean, but when you give a comment please be professional, all this "giggle snort..." "Hey Look every body.. http://www.lifesizecustomcutouts.com/...I guess you couldn't find an image of Justin Beiber (huge eyeroll).." "hehehe.. just giving as good as I get.. hehee.. fact of life darling..". Please tell me how this helps the artist. Have your snide remarks in private and out of the contests, its demeaning to the site and uncalled for.
(5 years and 3376 days ago)Nice idea.. However, to me it looks like an empty unending space rather than an elevator tunnel.. Also, the man is too bright for his environment.. Good luck author
(5 years and 3376 days ago)Love the concept. Good depth. Nicely done. In hi-res, you can see the edges of the "earth" composite with the moon (on both sides of the image - just to the left of the moon and the right of the earth) however. Aside from that, great work.
(5 years and 3377 days ago)ahhhh thats what gop meant was it? Then I disagree......birds, fish, flowers & robots are seen every week and could be in the unoriginal category. Metalic tentacled creatures from outer space??? I dont think they crop up often enough to criticize or debate the originality personally.
(5 years and 3377 days ago)Holy cow! Jawshoewhah, look at the similarities here! http://www.pxleyes.com/photography-picture/4be9e25d4b1c9/Huffin--at-the-pump.html
(5 years and 3377 days ago)Good Job !!
(5 years and 3377 days ago)Good job. GL author. War Of The Worlds again......
(5 years and 3377 days ago)Creative use of source. The perfectly head-on perspectives of the saucers do not match (as currently positioned) the perspective [vanishing point] of the tunnel. While GK is correct that tentacled creatures show up pretty regularly in CBR entries on this site, I would also note that tentacles show up a lot in sci-fi films as well.
(5 years and 3377 days ago)A very nice use of a very tough source, & I have no idea what Gop means either. Well done author!
(5 years and 3378 days ago)CORNHOLIO! hahahahaha!!!!!! Awesome!
(5 years and 3378 days ago)how did you do that?amazing
(5 years and 3378 days ago)Congrats, Bob!!!!
(5 years and 3378 days ago)Best 1 yet!
(5 years and 3378 days ago)Nice work! only thing is, creature shape is regular in Pxleyes....can try a totally new creature. I am sure you can do it (just a suggestion, this also nice). Good luck.
(5 years and 3378 days ago)SURVEILLANCE ROBO`S r back !!
