One place i really wouldnt wanna find myself hey... Good work
(5 years and 3860 days ago)I understand the concept of steampunk..Here's an idea show me the mechanics of the subs and not just them floating around...Just my opinion
(5 years and 3861 days ago)Hey is that replacing the lazer guns our cops like using over here lol.....i think its a fine image author, my own entry doesn't run on steam, but i go the impression that steampunk era was about inventions with metal/brass.... goodluck.
(5 years and 3861 days ago)In my opinion, you had it looking best at the step 6 level of your SBS...should have left it in color, sorry the simulated sepia tone just isn't working for me, great job creating the gun though
(5 years and 3861 days ago)I agree with Tuckinator.. that cope should be further on the top..
(5 years and 3861 days ago)gaaaahaaa the trigger looks fine to me! what COULD use some work is the scope, it doesnt look right. right now it looks like its attached to the side of tthe gun i dont think you meant to do that because the actual scope is on the top of the gun and some tiny parts of the gun should be more 3-d looking but other thatn that, the gun is awesome!

(5 years and 3861 days ago)"Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where "Steam power" is still widely used usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path "" from wikipedia...
(5 years and 3861 days ago)Here it is mentioned steampunk is based on era where steam power was prominent... So what does that means... Also I didn't mean to say your idea is wrong, I just stated my own opinion... Also everyone has their own style to represent steampunk in their own... You didn't depict steam power that's your style well I may show steam power...
Edit: I maybe not as old fan as you were since 1987 but I still know my way around steampunk...
great source images and nice work...
(5 years and 3861 days ago)Cool gun, but looks more high tech than made of gear or operated by steam...
(5 years and 3861 days ago)But hell, that would really blow the @&& outta H. G. Wells lol...
Edit: Hello, I am not saying it's not steampunk... The meaning of steampunk is really diluted but steampunk is originally based on machanics that operates on steam, thats why the name steampunk... Sheesh can't I offer my own view as you have given yours...
Also it's high tech in the sense in the period of victorian era... They actually didn't have lasers back then in victorian era...
Very nice! Very steampunky.. i think this image could use a bit more contrast though. The mid section of the gun also looks a little over-liquified, but still very nice. Good luck!!
(5 years and 3861 days ago)Edit: Now that i look a little better, your trigger could use some depth, it looks a bit painted on at the moment.
Ouch. I guest they look for employees every day if he misses
(5 years and 3861 days ago)it looks great... very nice blending... just agree with all the other comments...
(5 years and 3861 days ago)Great picture but not quite on theme..Really get into the mechanics of things...Show the steam power

(5 years and 3863 days ago)Good thinking on this....javelin does look a little static..maybe just a tad more motion blur
(5 years and 3863 days ago)also not the first time i see this, nothing new, but is good in technique, good luck
(5 years and 3863 days ago)i like this image a lot... wonder where that javelin is aiming...

(5 years and 3863 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 3864 days ago)congrats!!
(5 years and 3864 days ago)I don't see *much* difference in lighting, the tank under the lil sub should have much more shadow, the light source and the tanks/sub above would be blocking most of the light on that part, so should the back side of the big sub, and Yeah I saw your source.
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Really good idea, and I'm a huge steampunk fan, and this is "ok" theme wise, but steam punk has nothing to do with cartoon anything... Your big sub has some major issues w/ perspective, and the whole thing is lit wrong from your light source.
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Cute and maybe a bit cartoony--but I'm not sure that's quite the steampunk style. I think lighting is the problem. Light from above (not the side) would be more realistic and then adjust the shadows on the subs accordingly. (BTW the shadows on the subs don't even match the apparent light direction here.) [Some fish brushes to add fish in the background might increase the feeling of depth.]
(5 years and 3864 days ago)i have no idea how you guys make these things so well....grrr im getting nowhere with mine lol... well done author, looks good
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Good job!!

(5 years and 3864 days ago)Oh how great would it be, to drive with one of these! I love all the bull's-eyes! (I hope, that is the right translation) And the railing! Aaaah... I'm in love

(5 years and 3864 days ago)Edit: Oh, it's you!
Congrats Bob!
(5 years and 3864 days ago)nice work
(5 years and 3864 days ago)nice!
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Congratulations for 2nd
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Absolutely odd.....but.....truly amazing...! What should I start with???? I love the eggy head idea, great choice of sources: the hat couldn't fit better and the colors of the scarf really match the overall tones...., I also like it cause it's neat and clean....and....oh well....fantastic...! My only quick suggestion would be an increase in the backround contrast....maybe a bit more darkness to it, maybe some clouds, mist, anything to help the depth of field! I am usually the adept of highly defined brightness and contrast! So, it might just be me....! Great image anyways! Best of luck!
(5 years and 3864 days ago)Nice one Author
very creepy
(5 years and 3865 days ago)nice idea author, would scare the hell out of me
(5 years and 3865 days ago)it starts great from the bottom of the skull, but then gets transparent to the left.. you might wanna use a harder brush when masking
(5 years and 3865 days ago)incredible image
(5 years and 3865 days ago)Great piece of blending.....nice image!..idea!...couple of guys sitting round a camp fire + lighting in the the eye closest to the rocks. storm clouds added to the background & some rain.....should not take more than a couple of days LOL
(5 years and 3865 days ago)nice blending
(5 years and 3865 days ago)ah!, he's angry who could stop him!?.. haha, nice work with the expressions , GL
(5 years and 3865 days ago)Nice twist on the theme, smart thinking.
