ok maybe I'm seeing a different photo but everyone else is looking at the camera... I'm feeling a little silly here but he doesn't stand out enough to me, maybe it's a cultural thing?

my guess is long exposure with controlled movement, I've created similar effects with a model.

I agree that this is a stunning image, but there is no more expectation as the egg is empty...

nice concept but I feel it needs more contrast and the open mouth is distracting, maybe try cropping in so only part of the lower lip is visible
