I agree with pixelkid with the shadows perspective, I would work a bit longer on some of the masking. Mostly the woman on the right around the head region. Also The guy behind the towel keeps distracting me. I don't know if its the location or that he is right behind the towel. I would try to move the guy closer to the ground and see if it helps with the composition. Although I could be wrong. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2847 days ago)HMMM.... everything is there...... everything was produced with professional quality...... So many details..... excellent composition...... it has to be...... Yep, it is! Congrats on a great entry author!
(5 years and 2849 days ago)Really nice job author! Nitpicks would be if the snow could extend behind the first doorway and perhaps some ivy to accompany the leaves on the second doorway. Lots of work and well executed though! Good Luck!
(5 years and 2853 days ago)Love the extra eights thrown in. I would like to see a softer edge on some of the edges, but that might just be your style. Great entry!
(5 years and 2859 days ago)Really nice details!
(5 years and 2862 days ago)nicely done!!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Beautiful image but HighRes resolution left a lot to be desired. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Would be cool to see a water reflection like you always see on those night city scape pictures. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)I'm gonna be picky on this one because I like it so much. I thing the middle of the window is a bit distracting and the middle of the flower could use some more blending on the edges. I really like the flower, how you did the leaves and most of all the curtains and table. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)I think if the cups are going to have a dark shadow the balls and vase should as well. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)The black blob on the left of the yellow cup is distracting....not sure why its there. Really nice job on the shark though. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Really like this one! Only thing I would have changed was the smoothness of your pen before you added the stroke to it. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Not sure what effect your going for, but I would like to see the ground transformed with the perspective tool. The cracks should look smaller the further they get from your eye. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Wonderful Colors! Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Great imagination! Darker shadow directly under the couple and a little on them where they meet the floor and they will look less like they are floating. Other than that. GREAT! Good Luck.
(5 years and 2886 days ago)I think you did a really good job on the transformer. Although there are areas of opportunity here. The background doesn't do any favors for your transformer. The transformer might benefit from being lighter or the background changed completely. Also there are some shadows overlapping areas where they shouldn't. Mostly on the lower half. You have a good image here, just a little push and it will be GREAT! Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)I know its your style, I could tell this was yours right off the bat. But I would love to see darker shadows with more gradiation in the painted parts. Regardless a nice piece. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Is there a reason you left the original stem on the glass apple?
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Great Job! Good Luck
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Diddo CMYK
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Really nice use of colors, lighting and sources. Nit pick would be to use a lens blur or other technique to reduce the artifacts in the background sky. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)If I were to nit pick i would say the rocks could use some more blending near the water. Overall looks good. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Not a bad image! There are a couple of things that could use some attention. The hair could use some more feathering and the shadows on the original source image are very hard. Match those shadow to the new source images and you'll be on your way to a great piece. Good luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Nice abstract image! Not sure about the diffused part on the edge of the model though. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)some minor masking needs fixed on the kid...The white balance of the helicopter is cooler than the warm white balance on the kid. Also adding a new layer of grain over the kid would help blend it in to the grainy helicopter source. Just those little things that bring an image together. Good Luck!
(5 years and 2886 days ago)Overall it's a nice edit although I think you misinterpreted the goals of these contests. They are looking for manipulations not edits.
(5 years and 3048 days ago)The stacks need a darker shadow, they look like they're floating. Also the woman closest looks like she is jumping off the stack not sitting. Perhaps adjusting her dress would make it look more realistic. Good luck!
(5 years and 3057 days ago)If you're here for the fun of it then it looks fine. If you are here to learn and improve and get higher scores, then MossyB is correct.
(5 years and 3057 days ago)You did a really nice job with the construction of the transformer. Having said that this piece shouldn't be done yet. I would love for you to choose a main light source and add shadows and highlights on every piece based on that light. After that I would look for a good image for the background, it doesn't have to be something you made. Then I would add some finer details, like lights in his eyes or smoke coming out one of the pipes. After that I would add a link to high res so everyone can see what you've done. This is a go image, but has a lot of potential to be something greater.
(5 years and 3107 days ago)The wood floor has the wrong perspective. Where the wood planks meet they should be parallel to the wall. Just select the floor and transform it with the perspective option. Good luck.
(5 years and 3118 days ago)You said you would take some time for this weeks contests, and I must say I'm glad to see you around again. I just hope you stick around for a while.
(5 years and 3131 days ago)Only suggestion would be to fill the text with black. The lines of text are a bit distracting flowing through the text. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)It's up to you but if it was me I would move the M to the right until I got rid of the little sliver of red. That way the M would take on the edge of the red......If that makes sense.
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nicely done! Only suggestion would be to add some noise back in areas which were smudged and noise lost. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)There are a couple areas for improvement on this one. I'm not sure what you used to cut out the sheep but it looks like they have an outer glow to them. I would suggest looking up masking with the pen tool. Also the depth of field is really shallow on the original source, so I would suggest using lens blur with a gradient channel to make your background match the DOF of the original source. Lastly if the sheep are in the grass, then some of the grass should be in front of them. Just use a mask on them and with a really small brush paint out some grass sticking up. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Really nice painting skills! The problem that I see is that the original source has such a shallow depth of field. So the background of your painting is more in focus with a higher depth of field. You might be able to fix this with a gradient lens blur for the background, but I couldn't be sure without seeing it. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Really nice creation! Is it jumping or standing on one leg? If it's standing on one leg I would like to see a smaller shadow under the left leg. If it's jumping, never mind. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nice job! Only suggestion would be a highlight on the back edge of the comb, like what is on the pail. Also a bit more texture and shading on the hat. Real nice entry though. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nicely Done!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nice surreal image! I like everything except for the texture on the ring. Although I can't recommend any solution to make it better. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nice job with the extraction of source1 and the creation of the background. I think the flames could use more attention. Perhaps some more contrast on them, they seem a bit soft. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)LOL! Thought so.... I've said it before. I really like your style author. If I could be anyone else in pxleyes world it would be you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3142 days ago)Nice idea and ad. I would suggest more shading on the cigarette to make it three dimensional and also a reflection to match the other objects in the scene.
(5 years and 3143 days ago)Is that someone holding someones hair while they puke in the background, while the bird is wondering whats going on?
(5 years and 3143 days ago)I agree with arca, but would also add a street light or some other detail. Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)Really nice author! Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)Really like the mood of this one! I would still like to see even brighter edges on the knee, hands and front of face. Up to you, Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)Nice idea and execution. I like how it's a totem pole. Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)Wow, lots to look at! Only suggestion would be shading where the arms and legs meets the blob. Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)A few masking fixes on the bottom cutouts and this is top notch. Good luck!
(5 years and 3145 days ago)EDIT: Looks Good!
