The threads on the far right need a bit of work, but other than that AMAZING!!
(5 years and 3430 days ago)After looking at this entry, I could predict this was one of your creations. It's funny how you can pick up on an artists techniques in photoshop just as you can with paintings. Great job, good luck!
(5 years and 3432 days ago)Glad to see that the iPhone is still around
(5 years and 3435 days ago)@leebaoren, the sky isn't wrong it's your lcd monitor and the angle your looking at it. Move your head up and down to see that your screens color changes as you do so. I would suggest a displacement on the reflection though. Here is a good tutorial. http://photoshopcontest.com/tutorials/26/displacement-water.html
(5 years and 3438 days ago)@ author, I at no means meant your picture looked off or anything. If anything the text just looks italicized, which looks perfectly fine. I just thought you were having trouble making it look unitalicized. If that makes sense. Regardless nice entry, good luck!
(5 years and 3443 days ago)All you need to do is to skew the text. Its an option if you go under the transform drop down box. Good luck!
(5 years and 3445 days ago)Really nice!
(5 years and 3446 days ago)I think you should lose the tail (??) between the back two legs. It really doesn't come off as a tail, but a leg maybe. Other than that great entry, good luck!
(5 years and 3447 days ago)I really like the idea and feel on this one. I do have some problems with the giraffe though. It seems to be just cut off on the lower back and the reflection would start at the edge of the water because you wouldn't see the flat part of the wall. Nice entry though! Good luck!
(5 years and 3447 days ago)Sorry to mention this, but the right ninja is not aligned with the pillar. He is just half a ninja floating behind the kid.
(5 years and 3447 days ago)Nice overall feel on this one. I like the lighting on this, but I would've liked to see a shadow on the ground next to the rock formation on the lower left side. Good luck!
(5 years and 3452 days ago)Really nice mysterious entry author. It really makes you wonder what the story behind this picture is. Good luck!
(5 years and 3452 days ago)so far I think this might represent this site the best. Good luck!
(5 years and 3456 days ago)Really nice job author! I don't necessary agree with the others as far as the light source goes. There could easily be a light source not visible on the left side of the image. Also many photographers use strobes from different angles with shots like this. Nice job, fix the masking and you've got a nice one.
(5 years and 3456 days ago)I really like this author, but I thought we were making a favicon for the main site?
(5 years and 3456 days ago)Now how's anyone supposed to compete with this! Congrats on an excellent entry.
(5 years and 3459 days ago)Excellent entry! That pretty much sums it up. Congrats!
(5 years and 3459 days ago)I'm not sure what other people think, but I think it looks better. I can't really find anything wrong with it now. Before, it just seemed off somehow. I think it has been corrected.
(5 years and 3460 days ago)AHH!! Makes sense now. I guess I didn't read the description while I was looking at your sbs.
(5 years and 3461 days ago)I like the idea although I would've approached it a bit differently. When I think good vs bad I think of Tommy Lee Jones in Batman. Where he has two different faces. I would've liked to seen a completely different side to the kitty. Maybe on the bad side he has a red eye and peircings, some really dark eyeliner exc. Up to you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3461 days ago)LOL! This is great! I was looking at your image for some time, and come to the conclusion that with that perspective you should remove the tail and the leftover part of the right leg(on the left one). Just to make sure, I removed it myself and I think it looks better. Up to you though. Good job and good luck!
(5 years and 3461 days ago)I'm not sure why you changed the perspective of the original dog and cat? You could have easily kept the perspective and just flipped the cat horizontally and everything would've looked a lot better. Better yet I would have kept the original background of the dog, added the cat and then pasted the source cat on the new cat. Here is a quick example. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h302/Chalty669/example-1.jpg
(5 years and 3461 days ago)You always have good ideas and an eye for composition. But....this one could be AMAZING if you spent more time on it. Mostly the pot and the tree on the left. Good luck!
(5 years and 3462 days ago)I really like what you've done to the fish. Especially the screws! Not feeling the frame though. Good luck!
(5 years and 3462 days ago)Once I went to full view, for some reason I knew you made this. Only suggestion would be for a sharper eye to match the rest of the body. Good entry regardless. Good luck!
(5 years and 3462 days ago)Really nice image! Only suggestion would be to have the line further back in the water, right now it looks like its not in the water. Good luck!
(5 years and 3462 days ago)Also the reflection of the doors wouldn't flow through the reflection of the flowers. The flowers would block the reflection, a quick mask could fix everything. Nice image and good luck!
(5 years and 3462 days ago)You need to pay a bit more attention to the masking on this. The lines shouldn't go through the guys leg and his upper body seems to be missing. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Really nice image! I had a feeling this was you. I like the texture you used on the heart to blend things together, but there are some masking issues with the top right building. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Nice tutorial CMYK! I would like to add that with the rain moving in that direction there wouldn't be splashes on the left side of the head. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Another crazy entry!! Nice details in the SBS, you make it look so easy.
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Your tones are definitely recognizable. Good job, good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Nice source image. Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)I could see this on a wall in a museum!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)nice entry! not sure about the red smoke, maybe some gray smoke though? Good luck!
(5 years and 3467 days ago)You really didn't leave any room for critiquing on this one did you! Couldn't find one thing to change or fix, you even added the reflection in the windows. Great job!
(5 years and 3469 days ago)This is really good. This could be great with a bit more work. The grass should extend the page on the left the same as it does on the top. The grass should also have a sharp edge on the bottom of the book. The water needs a lot of work, it also needs sharper edges where it meets the book and also between the underwater and above water part. At first I really didn't know what the water was, perhaps having the water pour off the page or just adding a duck would help. The shadows need more attention as well. Overall this is a nice entry which will score high, but with some minor adjustments this has the potential to be one of the greats. Good luck!
(5 years and 3471 days ago)Really nice grass masking! Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)I give high marks for this one, But...... Every time I come back to look at this, that dang reflection keeps jumping out at me. screaming " I'm here and I'm not supposed to be and there's nothing you can do about it". Maybe I'm going crazy! I would really appreciate it if you could replace him with another. Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)You really have a nice eye for composition. Only nitpick would be the resolution on the closest object. Good job and good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)Nice overall composition. I would've liked to see a little better job with the masking on the bottom tree and some of the grass. Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)Nicely done, Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)It would be really cool if you had lightning hit the tree with a big spark of light. Also the rain might look a bit better if you added some perspective on it so the higher rain looked smaller. Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)I agree that the different resolutions here are a bit distracting. I would do a lens blur with a gradient channel on the background, just to see if that helps. Just thinking that it might defocus the background just enough. Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)Some masking issues with the furthest ladder. Other than that, really nice! Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)Really well done! I especially like the highlights on the lower part of the rhino. Only suggestion would be to change the black point on the rhinos head to match the gun. Good Luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)Agree! I like the image, but the sand needs a bit of work. Perhaps a new layer with a soft brush to paint in some dust cloud? Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)LOL! This is nice! Would've liked to see a slightly sharper edge on the mask, but good regardless. Good luck!
(5 years and 3472 days ago)This is amazing! There are so many details in this. Perfect!
(5 years and 3474 days ago)Really nice entry! A few tweaks could make this even better. Like said before the coloring is a bit off between the two sources. Where did his thumb go? I would also like some sort of noise on the smudged areas. Good luck!
