nice effect, agree with ponti55.
(5 years and 3459 days ago)Great idea! I also agree that the masking is a bit soft. I would suggestion using the pen tool to extract and then blurring the mask afterwards to taste. Good luck!
(5 years and 3460 days ago)Great work as usual author. Good luck!
(5 years and 3461 days ago)It really makes more sense now. You've really chose a really hard thing to do. I haven't really been able to find a real source to tell you if its done right. I would think the the part of the head thats coming underwater wouldn't have the distortion on it. Also to separate the underwater from the above water, I would change the color of the two. I wish you luck and have respect for you for trying this.
(5 years and 3462 days ago)Is this a horses reflection or is it in the water gasping for air?
(5 years and 3462 days ago)THis is a nice clean, cleaver entry. There is room for improvement on the masking. Try using a smaller brush or use the pen tool to cut things out. Good luck!
(5 years and 3464 days ago)My suggestion would be to move the left wings to the left or up so they aren't blending into the frog leg. Good luck!
(5 years and 3464 days ago)Good entry, but wouldn't the fireworks show through the bridge? Good luck!
(5 years and 3464 days ago)Nice textures and really scary.
(5 years and 3464 days ago)Great entry! Only thing I found that might need fixed is a masking problem where the wire meets the other side of the shoe. Good luck!
(5 years and 3464 days ago)LOL! Nice image. If you look at the main giracock the shadows under its leg is way darker, I think the giracock in the back should be similar. Also to the untrained eye, one wouldn't notice the work involved to change the light source on the further most giracock. Maybe a sbs to show off your talent.
(5 years and 3465 days ago)What happened between steps 2 and 3. You lost a foot and most of the shadow details. It might look better if you skipped step 3 and jumped right to step 4. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Wow! Makes a big difference IMHO. Good Luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)The source on this really played to your advantage. The straps already look like apple peelings. Good job and Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Author, I understand that you were trying to show the transparency of the glasses by splitting the wall from the table. I would only suggest that you make the wall or the table a different shade or color instead of having the white line run all the way through your image. When I step back and look at your image my eyes migrate directly towards that area. There are plenty more details throughout your image which are overtaken by that line. This is just a suggest and after everything is said and done you have some nice work here. Good Luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Another nice entry author. Took me a while to find a suggestion to give. If you look closely there are leftover parts from maybe the claws on the left and right of the tree. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Overall nice entry with some nice reflections. Not sure what the the white line is going through the middle, but it's a bit distraction. Also a full resolution file would be nice.
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Nice blend, a full resolution file would be nice.
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Brilliant work and nice sbs!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Very dramatic entry. Only suggestion would be to make the turtles shell round at the top. Good luck!
(5 years and 3465 days ago)Great! I think this really helps show off the attention to details and extra work on this piece. Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Perspective defiantly looks better with the walls to break things up. Now I would suggest to take a soft black brush with a low opacity and paint some shadows on the lower corner of the wall and under the table. What you need to do is think about where the light source is coming from and then make shadows based off of that same light source. If you look at the object on the wall, it seems like the light is coming from straight above. So things need to get darker the further they are from that light source, which includes the wall and everything else. These are just suggestion, it looks like you've already put a lot of work into this. Good luck.
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Looks way better! Good luck author!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)The overall feel of this is great. There are a couple of problems with masking though. The palm trees would probobly have a sharper line when it meets the sand. Also the wave seems to just fade into the woods. I would try to skew that end so it matches the horizon of the sand. Nice reflection from the palm tree though. Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Only suggestion would to do a lens blur on the notes by just a couple pixels to match the source pics. Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)I don't know if it's the colors or the shading of the flag, but sometimes it looks like its waving when I look at it. Optical illusion or am I the only one. Good job!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Nice shadow detail.
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Great job! Only suggestion would be to either lighten or erase the tip of the wings. Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Just wondering, great blending and nice finished product. Best of luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Great idea and executed well! Good luck!
(5 years and 3466 days ago)Really nice job! Lots of work and lots of layers. Although I like your step 9 more than the final result because it shows off more of the details.
(5 years and 3466 days ago)@CMYK46, No I've only had the pleasure of watching the animated version. I wasn't commenting on the design of the shorts just the thickness. I almost looked like he was jumping through a seat like this one. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h302/Chalty669/carseat.jpg
(5 years and 3466 days ago)was there a reason the one eye has white and the other doesn't? Just wondering.
(5 years and 3466 days ago)I think the wall is what's throwing the perspective off. Maybe try to make two walls and have one on the left to match the perspective of the table and chairs.
(5 years and 3466 days ago)I love all of the details "is that Elvis on the left in the yellow suit?!!"
(5 years and 3467 days ago)Excellent entry! The mailbox is a nice finishing touch.
(5 years and 3468 days ago)I love it! Tons of details and a perfect mood. I only found one thing wrong. The laser from the back left guy is in front of the guy which is closer. Guessing it's just on a layer above the other. Fix that and this is perfect. Good luck.
(5 years and 3469 days ago)Very convincing! Only suggestion would be the highlight under the right Cobb.
(5 years and 3469 days ago)I like everything except the background. I would've liked to see something with more details in the background, like some tombstones or some eery clouds or something. Nice entry regardless.
(5 years and 3469 days ago)At first I thought this was amazing, then I took a little closer look and got confused. Whats going on with the boy? Is he a ghost or something? Regardless my suggestion would be to make it look like he's sitting in the basket.
(5 years and 3469 days ago)This is good, but could be Great! I think you should find a larger source for the closest birds, they've become distorted. Also I don't think you'ed be able to see the shadow on the back part of the water at this angle. Good Luck!
(5 years and 3469 days ago)I would like to see more of the clouds in the reflection of the water. Good luck!
(5 years and 3470 days ago)Really nice entry! The only critique would be to put back the shadows on the statue. It looks like you were going for a fog effect, but when I look at your image my eyes travel from the top right then move toward the statue. Once there all I can see is the shadows, its hard to look away.
(5 years and 3470 days ago)A little masking issue under the closest kajak. Other than that nice details.
(5 years and 3470 days ago)You always have a similar unique technique with the color tone of your entries. Your work is easy to spot, just like drivenslush. Another nice entry, and good luck!
(5 years and 3470 days ago)I really like the hair you added but I'm not sure about the swimming trunks. I don't know if you were trying to make it look like they were falling off from the force, or just making them look like regular swimming trunks. If you were making them look like swimming trunks you should make them look thinner. It would be funny to see a crack if your trying to make it look like they are stretched from the force.
(5 years and 3470 days ago)I think the line between the lizards and the water should have a crisper appearance. I think both are going to be lunch once they fall off the cliff.
(5 years and 3470 days ago)I think part of the problem is the white balance of the guy. Duplicate the background go to filter/blur/average. Put that layer on top of the guy and set the blend mode to color. Now reduce the opacity and ctrl click between the two layers so it only shows on top of the guy. Maybe this will help......Good idea and execution though.
(5 years and 3479 days ago)uuuuummmmmm! Wonder who this is? Great work as usual!
(5 years and 3483 days ago)I could tell who made this as soon as i saw it. The only nitpick I have is the bridge. I don't think you would be able to see as much of the bottom of it from the angle your looking at it from. The angle should be from the top not the bottom.
