Really good concept and well executed! @CMYK46: I tend to agree, an animated gif doesn't tell the whole story. The one in this SBS is good but I would have liked to see more detail especially because this is really nice work. As Bob suggests this opinion in no way should affect our votes, this is good work deserving a good vote.

Sorry, but animated GIF SBS's just don't make it. It's a trend that should be squashed like a bug. Sure, the images are there, but nobody knows how you achieved those images because you don't take the trouble to explain them along the way. A good SBS should be like a mini tutorial that helps the viewer learn.
That said, you've made a good image here, and it deserves a good vote from me!

Really nice scene & neat mood and a creative source use. Could you overlay some of the surrounding rock textures to make the stairs look native to the location?

Pretty composition with a nice color palette.
1. For some reason the shape of the spaceship ended bumped in the final result with masking probs., you could retrace it with pen tool and make it right.
2. The design of the ship is a bit confusing since the orientation of the wings points that it's front is in the upper side, while the cockpit and it's searching light, points the opposite.
3. Some description would really help since the design is not explaining : is the ship searching something or is it taking off ( in the 1st case wings are wierd, in the last case there should be some reactors or stuff, and the cockpit shouldn't be at the bottom).
If you have time, improve it, if not, it's one of the best around anyways. Good luck.

This is pretty cool. Love the genie effect, and especially what the 'exhaust' pipe really is..... tho I think a more appropriate name for it would be the 'intake valve'. Interesting snow/noise effect for this. Rock on, Josh, btw, haircut looks good.
