Suggestion: Find a picture of the ocean / lake and add it over your water with a soft light filter you can give the water some authentic ripple to it.

Author, your use of the path is minimal. You could have used it to replace some of the siding on the house. That would have really rocked. (PS: It's not too late to do that).

You removed the cats from the final result and asking me which edges(still it is there in the SBS.s9 to s16). Instead of giving drop shadow try to create a natural shadow(see rabbit shadow)
