I like the idea but imo is a little too blurry at some parts. the skin structure just dissapears. Perhaps you could try to improve that.

Colored skin is sexy! I'm glad you decided to do that!
You could also try to color up her hair, make it blonde-ish so that it relates to the shield.
And if you have time, try to experiment with some grass, some sky, like she's sitting on a rock at the edge of a cliff. Maybe you can even find a nice castle stock and place it on a far hill in the background.
You can improve this a lot!

Author I think you have done a fine job, especially with the armor. A step by step would be helpful for those who are curious as to your method. All in all I like your concept and its execution.

Nice source find. However you need some adjustments:

1.You should work out a background. BG matters a lot in giving the context & mood of an entry.
2. You could use some color on her skin & hair - this will be fun and might give a "painting" feel to it.
3.An SBS would help some to appreciate your efforts more.

The figure obviously has two legs. There is chain mail above the lion shield which comes from the waist, then covers a bit of left leg of the figure. If only the author had made a SBS this image wouldn't be so confusing.

It looks like she only has one leg...I guess that would make me depressed, too!

You might want to move the "lion" shield" away from the one-legged knight a bit, so that people don't confuse it as a "ball arm..." This would also help reveal her "missing" leg, since I think I see a knee joint above the "ball arm" shield confusion.

The rat looks like something I would do GL!

Wow! Fantastic creation and good imagination Only thing IMO looks not great is the hand which is suppose to be in the water... I would just take it out of the water and leave a slight reflection instead.. But if you think it looks fine don't listen to me everyone has different views Or just wait what others say Good Luck.. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure if the light on the two swans on the right should be that strong. If so than the water below them should also be very bright and mainly allot of other things. I like the blue mood well done GL!

Maybe you need to move the falling part so it is not infront of the part with the leaf on... maybe as though its going out of frame?

I understand the eaten portion of the (let's call it a flag) but the part that seems to be falling off is larger than the part the caterpillar seems to have eaten. I don't get that, but it's an interesting idea.
