No external images used, cut out pieces and clone them, did some drawing and applied texture from source. A lot of blurring and masking , smoke brushes for final effect.

Moomm ... my team wins the game!! I use the child's picture taken from http://www.123rf.com/photo_4346902.html in the free image section. Then I cut the source image and blend it to the child's picture. Liquify a little bit to fit the eye. And add the flag using brush.

This idea came out of the blue! Just finding the right image, thanks to PXL stock, made it happen rather quickly. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! The only sources used were the contest image and the stock image. See SBS .
