hi I was surfing the web for changing skin color in photoshop and i came across your entry for this contest. I have seen other tutorials online but this is the most drastic change I have seen (in a good way!) could you give some details on your workflow to achieve this? it would really help with a project i am working on.
(5 years and 2835 days ago)this seems kinda flat to me
(5 years and 2959 days ago)It's tilting somewhat hard to the right, I'd suggest leveling it a bit...
(5 years and 2961 days ago)Author, did you upload the wrong photo? It appears to be some sort of "snap" taken by accident...I would hope someone of your obvious talent didn't enter this on purpose?!?
(5 years and 2961 days ago)nice idea, but it could have been sharper.
(5 years and 2967 days ago)IMO, off theme
(5 years and 2983 days ago)Very sweet photo!
(5 years and 2983 days ago)Hershey's!!!!
(5 years and 2993 days ago)I am not a big fan of Hershey's but you made this shot looks soooo good! Well done author! Really clever!
nice find
(5 years and 3044 days ago)I believe it would be considered profitable use since this contest pays "1st place: $5
(5 years and 3061 days ago)2nd place: $3
3rd place: $2" to the winners
KatanazStock, assuming that you're the same person as the one from DA, you'd know that on the front page of your profile you allow people to use the stock outside DA. I cant say anything about the 1st point, but the 2nd one shouldnt be an issue here.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Author, good luck!
EDIT: KS, feel free to define "commerical and/or profitable use", s'il vous plaît
">Let me know if you use my image.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)>When using our stock you are agreeing that the work it is involved with, will remain ONLY on DeviantART and may not be placed on any other website
you may not use the stock images for website templates, or for commerical and/or profitable use"
thank you to withdraw my images on this website
with only her skin darkened, she could be Indian. IF in fact the author wanted her to look black/african-american, the nose would probably have to be widened a touch and the lips larger. The way it is though, she looks Indian/Persian or something like that. She is beautiful and the shading is wonderful.
(5 years and 3073 days ago)I love what you did author, a little dark thought but it looks beautiful and well done! Best of luck!
(5 years and 3073 days ago)Author, if you are "not trying to make her black," then what ARE you attempting in this contest? The theme is "ethnicity," not just "heavy tan color."
(5 years and 3074 days ago)Ethnicity goes beyond making the skin dark and the white of the eyes too bright...
The contest description clearly states:
"A beautiful way of exploring different facial features."
What features are you exploring with this entry???
the problem with conversion is that certain facial features are unique for certain ethnicity.. change the skin-tone technique is great... but if you can up that by changing the features to look like a black lady... it would be fantastic
(5 years and 3075 days ago)anyways.. this is a great chop
nice work
(5 years and 3076 days ago)nice work, i would try to do the background same as original too..there is still time..gl
(5 years and 3077 days ago)nice author...
(5 years and 3078 days ago)very nice author
(5 years and 3078 days ago)you got realistic and beautiful result
The whites of the eyes are too bright. The rest looks good.
(5 years and 3078 days ago)(Pearls could be restored to the originals too...).
The new her looks very South Asian. [Needs to be viewed in hi-res to evaluate properly, IMO.] Her face seems darker than her body, however—and her left-shoulder highlight seems a tad too strong. Also, I don't get why her pearls and shadow also changed along the way (and what is that rain-drop-shaped blotch in the upper left corner?). I wish the SBS explained what was done at each step
(5 years and 3078 days ago)Good job, I like what you did with the lips
(5 years and 3078 days ago)I think she is just a touch too dark
(5 years and 3078 days ago)Very nice ... I like it ....
(5 years and 3078 days ago)Good Luck Author
Oh
(5 years and 3083 days ago)I'm not sure I understand the significance of this leaf for soldiers
(5 years and 3083 days ago)Nice perspective
(5 years and 3117 days ago)Bright a little the pupil to create a more attractive point, well done.
(5 years and 3118 days ago)great anger in eyes.....
(5 years and 3119 days ago)congrats
(5 years and 3124 days ago)Congrats!!
(5 years and 3125 days ago)Beautiful covers author...well done
(5 years and 3127 days ago)nice piece of work...gl
(5 years and 3127 days ago)LOL, thanks for clearing that up.
(5 years and 3127 days ago)Since it contains explicit lyrics I presume the album is not a collection of liturgical songs.
(5 years and 3130 days ago)great logo!!
(5 years and 3134 days ago)very nice
(5 years and 3135 days ago)Proof that sometimes the simpler photos can be really striking. Nice composition and DOF author.
(5 years and 3135 days ago)nice
(5 years and 3136 days ago)kind of looks like where my house is. Might have stepped up on the dike to get more of the water
(5 years and 3136 days ago)Interesting. To me it seems too abstract for its intended purpose, however. Squares implying a sea turtle could be cool for a nightclub called the Sea Turtle, but I think engaging the public to be concerned about real sea turtles should use a more-recognizable image. BTW, the text reads as "The Sea Exhibit Turtle" which confuses me. A different font for each word suggests frivolity when your goal is very serious.
(5 years and 3136 days ago)Nice design, author. You need to start that company for real, I recently saw a video that showed people collecting the turtle eggs in huge sacks.
(5 years and 3136 days ago)clever design GOOD LUCK!!!
(5 years and 3136 days ago)The edges of the horse are a bit too sharp for the image, especially with the filter effect. There is also a bit of a dark outline where you removed the background. You might want to blur them slightly by using an eraser with a soft edge.
(5 years and 3162 days ago)filter foam?
(5 years and 3166 days ago)great shot
(5 years and 3167 days ago)Seaweed?
(5 years and 3167 days ago)cool shot...gl
(5 years and 3169 days ago)pumice stone?
