(5 years and 963 days ago)Nice one.I like it
(5 years and 965 days ago)Nice to meet you face to face...well sort of. Changing to b/w was the smart way to go for the double glazing already highlights your creativity and in b/w we see this clearly. I always love how photos fool me and give an emotional pull. In your upload you have yourself placed to the side and the emphasis is on the jittery feel and we know how nervous you were to put this up of yourself. Yet, here you are in creative joy and interesting how your curly hair adds to the excitement of this grand self portrait.
(5 years and 965 days ago)Extremely good shot, well done for this
(5 years and 966 days ago)Congrats!!
(5 years and 966 days ago)Seeing that picture, "irrational" never came to mind!
(5 years and 966 days ago)A bit closer on that chicken would have been a stronger photo but i'm sure by the time you had come down the bird would have disappeared. Good street catch.
(5 years and 967 days ago)Nice this one in monochrome, even sepia would add more age (I know it'a not allowed for this contest). I like how this transports me to another time and the feeling of cold comes across, as well as street life.
(5 years and 967 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 967 days ago)Nice, congrats.
(5 years and 967 days ago)Wonderful. Congrats.
(5 years and 967 days ago)good work Denlig
(5 years and 967 days ago)Congrats...
(5 years and 967 days ago)fantastic texture matching
(5 years and 968 days ago)Not alone at all, surrounded by masses of humanity, exactly where I would NOT like to be (hmmm is that a phobia). Yet, amidst the crowds one could feel alone. It is hard to find a focal anchor with your photo and my eyes are going hither and dither and I know that was your intention. The photo is a tad soft, perhaps from a heavy zoom.
(5 years and 968 days ago)These guys mate for life too, like the Canada goose! Hence the term "lone wolf" because if the mate dies they stay alone...this of course is critical for you to know.
(5 years and 968 days ago)Now, onto the review. Your side portrait angle works for it creates a mystery for us viewers, there is a wildness seen in his gaze which is out of the frame and that engages us as we wonder what it is he is looking at...his natural strength , his confidence and his soul have been well captured by your lens. The white background fully supports the beauty of this gorgeous animal Details are sharp , contrast is good and it feels like this photographer and his camera are best of friends. Top notch work.
I have been walking around town yesterday and today trying to find something like this, there are shutters but not in blue. You did a nice job with these baby blue shutters. AND you have that magic number our brains like ....THREE.
(5 years and 969 days ago)You did the selective colour really well, I've looked hard for bleeding and find not a drop! Interesting historical piece too and they subjects are not even aware you are photographing them. Thank you for educating us.
(5 years and 969 days ago)The detail is stunning.
(5 years and 969 days ago)This is a very sensual image and evokes the feeling of a new life coming into bloom. Wonderful bokeh that completely supports this pod and the red and green (as you know are contrasting colours on the colour wheel) really pop this one out. Sensational image, it is sharp and really speaks to me. The pov with the pod "flying" into the shot from the side is well constructed. It is top notch work, worthy of hanging up on your wall and a small signature in the corner.
(5 years and 969 days ago)You cannot get any newer than this. Great sharp focus and right in our face...your POV is perfect. I have nothing to critique just to say frame this and hang it up.
(5 years and 969 days ago)I like the framing of this shot, even with the blur of the foreground twigs. You make us feel like we are witnessing something special and we are, we see a disgruntled mother bird protecting her young. It is an intrusive image, but that aspect is it's strength.
(5 years and 969 days ago)I lol'd.
(5 years and 969 days ago)BOING!!!
(5 years and 971 days ago)I like it too.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Love the use of source. Made me chuckle. Great.
(5 years and 972 days ago)Now about that green stripe right across the bottom?! It is an artistic decision on your part to leave it in as it implies we are peeking into this handsome brutes world, it says PRIVATE, do not enter, yet thanks to your lens we have entered. It is artistic license to have left it there. The alternative would be to crop tighter to really show us his personality and this would be possible simply because your focus is dead on sharp. Good exposure with all detail showing and sharpness on the eyes which is critical in portraiture. Try a portrait format too to give him more nobility, which he already possesses. He is a most handsome fellow and looks like he's in love with your lens, or you. Great eye contact. Nice post.
(5 years and 973 days ago)Are you swearing at us "goura sheepmakeri" to you too! Lovely bird, nicely taken sharp and the fact you have come down to her eye level helps the viewer to engage with this image. See that white pop on the bottom? I wonder if you cropped up a bit more, then crop in at the right a bit more if the image would be stronger...try it and see.
(5 years and 973 days ago)Congrats on 1st!
(5 years and 974 days ago)Congrats on winning, it's purrrrrrrrrrrfect.
(5 years and 974 days ago)Congratulations
(5 years and 974 days ago)Love his expression, wouldn't want to get any closer.

(5 years and 974 days ago)..♪♫♪...
(5 years and 975 days ago)Oh and by the way. .... Titles are really important in gallery showings, they can make or break a sale and are part of the creative process, it is important to title your images to help the viewer along the visual journey...YOU NAILED IT! congrats.
(5 years and 976 days ago)Terrific shot, gives me the creeps. How did you get that close without being stung??
(5 years and 976 days ago)I like your compositional style and how you engage they eye by the inclusion of surrounding area.
(5 years and 976 days ago)So cool!
(5 years and 976 days ago)Nicely done, I love it!
(5 years and 976 days ago)Be still the beating of my heart. YES YES YES to this thumbs up not only is the colour palette soothing the heart of the flower well and sharp with explosion of petals outward...this one rocks.
(5 years and 976 days ago)WOWOWOWOWO. Love the feel of this and the sharp capture. Your compositional style catapults this into the realm of photographic art. Worthy to matte, frame and hang on your wall, just needs your signature.
(5 years and 976 days ago)Cool shot + I like the title
(5 years and 977 days ago)Congrats!
