Great improvement, not just due to HDR but mainly because of the change of light. In the first image light was shallow, second image has much more depth.

I like the second one better, although there's not much more to see, the ground tells the story. In the first image, backgournd is a black cloth, in the second it's natural ground. And that gives it the realistic look, like it was Jesus hand just nailed there before they're errecting the cross. Much better.

uhm, HDR has nothing to do with the focus, it simply means bringing out details in the very dark and very light areas, thus producing an image with rich details in all light levels. Just for clarification.

great job on the girl love it! It I want to be picky I see that the background looks a bit unnatural. First of all there aren't any shadows under the trees and secondly, more important in my point of view, the very closeup of the face does not allow the background to be in focus. It's unnatural to the human eye, if I look at somethin that close, I see the background out of focus.

I don't see any blending of the snow, just replacement. First of all, I'd like to say that I find the idea very good. Your image does not look real, though. The house in the foreground is sharp, right behind it the ground starts to be out of focus, gives it kind of a miniature look. There are parts in focus still, for example, the first rock on the left. The tipp is out of focus, the bottom is IN focus. And there are parts in the middle that are in focus. The background mountains are way out of focus, yet the sky is in focus. You see what I mean? It just does not look real.

I agree with Ichappel in all points. The skier is also to much out of focus compared to the rest of the image. It's not motion blur, just out of focus. May want to resize the skier and put some motion blur on him.

Look cool though overall and it's a good idea.

the proportions are quite off, but I still like your work very much.
Since the reflection of the mountains in the background is so big, the lake seems very small, almost like pond. (The size of the ripples in front add to that impression) Yet the mountains in the background are far away, so my eye finds that there is something wrong.

But as I said, I find it a lovely work and a great idea.

yepp, very nice. Actually this reminds me of a way to get rid of people from a location. Either veeery long exposure or multiple shots in such a way, that every part of a scene is shown without a person in a shot. Then put together in Photoshop and bang! you have a scene without any people.

HDR is supposed to bring out details in the lightest and darkest areas, but here I really miss details. For my personal taste contrast is way to high. Idea and concept would have allowed a great shot, though.
