Nice.
(5 years and 2514 days ago)Nice work, good composition. Not completely sure if I see the concept of bringing back life in the entry, but maybe that's me. Good luck!
(5 years and 2516 days ago)Nothing like criticizing your own photo! You are right, though. Can anyone explain why that does happen sometimes. Underexposure? Camera traits? Over-processing? Sharpening?
(5 years and 2524 days ago)Love the composition!
(5 years and 2529 days ago)wonderful, looks like a sculpture.
(5 years and 2530 days ago)Nice, but I think I'll save my walk till the summer.
(5 years and 2530 days ago)You really need to upload a high res, so we can have a good look at your photo.
(5 years and 2530 days ago)Ah I love macros too. Well done. Its fascinating seeing the close up . I think the 'furry' bit of the leaf really enhances the whole effect of the contest theme too. Well done !
(5 years and 2538 days ago)A gorgeous macro...
(5 years and 2543 days ago)Great idea and composition.
(5 years and 2551 days ago)Something tells me it's time to give your yard a cleanup.

(5 years and 2656 days ago)Congrats, it was close!
(5 years and 2656 days ago)Ugh! The dreaded "flatten layers" Oh well. You're welcome.
(5 years and 2660 days ago)Nice blend. However, this character is simply way too gigantic for the scene. There is not enough distance - implied or actual - between her and the closest car in the background, or balance between the size of "yellow lines" in the street compared to her shoe next to them, to justify the degree of disproportion. I'm not suggesting she should be humanly proportionate, just not so gigantic for the surroundings. A very easy fix would be to re-size the background larger.
(5 years and 2660 days ago)That may be taste, but this is technical: the shadows are cast in the wrong direction for the light pattern on the legs - all you have to do is look at the real shadows in the original to see that the light on the legs is coming from the front, not the back, as your added shadows imply. To fix this, you can darken the front of the legs and brighten the back of the legs. Or you can try flipping that background.
fantastic pics ! I can see the winner
(5 years and 2661 days ago)Really good concept...IMO would be even better in muted color, but still sweet.
(5 years and 2662 days ago)very good..idea and work. bravo
(5 years and 2662 days ago)Snowflake brushes that depict complex geometric patterns are renderings created by the brush author. Most Star brushes are simple bursts of light with possibly a simple cross shape, or points of light of varying sizes. Both are simple to create and aren't complex illustrations, often star or galaxy brushes are based on astronomical photos. Brushes that show snow falling and aren't closeups of geometric snowflakes are acceptable just as rain or fog brushes.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)My apologies. i had an image removed for a snowflake brush once. I'm not sure what would make stars acceptable and a snowflake brush not.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)@TwilightMuse- You are INCORRECT about the use of brushes. Brushes that are photo-image based are permitted as are simple non illustration brushes like many grunge brushes and star brushes. Only brushes that are illustration based or are made from Photoshopped images or 3D renders are not allowed. All brushes require a link to verify their acceptability.
(5 years and 2667 days ago)The Bird Brush Set used by this author are photo-image based and are acceptable.
Good image & concept over all, but the mirrored cloud is kinda distracting and the masking on the tree could be better. GL author.
(5 years and 2667 days ago)PS: Good to see you again!
This is a beautiful image however you're not able to use brushes for manipulations. I've had many an image removed because of it. Try to find a replacement before that happens. You can find that in the guideline section for photoshop. Sorry, just know I hate when it happened to me. Again beautiful work and good luck.
(5 years and 2667 days ago)I'd get rid of the ski-lift towers. They emphasize how out of proportion the shack is to the background. Without them, it could just be a small fishing shack or outhouse in the wild...
(5 years and 3075 days ago)Also, the snowfall is a bit too thick for a bright sunny day...
the house seems small.. the lake should be more frozen and snow on the trees too.
(5 years and 3076 days ago)shadow of the house too strong... should be similar to the bottom left corner
nice author good luck...
(5 years and 3076 days ago)very good blend author.. GOOD LUCK!!
(5 years and 3076 days ago)Lots better now...GL author.
(5 years and 3081 days ago)Them some big "TurdKiickers" she's wearing, good idea and cool picture. Glad that ain't me on the porch floor.
(5 years and 3081 days ago)BWHAAA HAA HAA HAA! Been there, done that! (in my mind of course) LOL great humor author.. Love the texture
(5 years and 3082 days ago)You need to post a link for the man. The light on the woman is almost from the top, so that shadow wouldn't be there. (Don't get the reason for the texture either...).
(5 years and 3082 days ago)congrats!
