(5 years and 618 days ago)Stunning, congrats.
(5 years and 618 days ago)Extraordinary Congrats.
(5 years and 618 days ago)Congrats Dmitry, beautiful
(5 years and 619 days ago)Author , is multi segment synonymous with stacking?
(5 years and 624 days ago)all for the love of photography ! I salute you.
(5 years and 624 days ago)The surrounding capture of environment helps to make your stack more interesting. The fact that the base is not shown teases me and I am dying to know how the foundation of this stack looks like. The image itself is clear and sharp including all those wonderful gray stones surrounding the stack.
(5 years and 624 days ago)"Windmill" is one word, and two syllables. Need to change the title to, perhaps, "mill," or some other one syllable term.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Need to change title to a single, one syllable word. "Snow," or "tracks" for example. (Nice shot)
(5 years and 625 days ago)Need to change the title. I don't see much of a pier. I see a shadow, or a couple, but both would be two syllables. You could change it to "snow" or "ice" (or something else) and it would be fine.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Nice shot. You should remove "cabin" as it is two syllables. "log" or "Logs" would work fine though
(5 years and 625 days ago)Congrats on your win! It's a great shot.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Ah Dmitry, this is just beautiful, well done
(5 years and 625 days ago)Congrats Dmitry
(5 years and 625 days ago)Nice. Can wa have The EXIF of the picture please ? It's so sharp from front to back.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Well done for this
(5 years and 625 days ago)The way you have brought out the detail of this windmill from the shadows is superb. This looks to me like a winner.
(5 years and 625 days ago)"Pretty as a picture" as the saying goes, so this simple yet strong image has good visual impact for the viewer. Snow is crisp and white and the cabins are welcoming...everything in focus. This photograph makes me feel that the photographer is best friends with his / her camera.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Creative and pleasing, that colour palette makes us feel even colder and the hoar frost on the pier has been caught in focus. Thanks to you and your wife for warm regards....accepted with a smile.
(5 years and 625 days ago)Like the grunge efffect and the presentation of logs at their cross points, feels very Canadian, althoughI know it isn't.
(5 years and 625 days ago)One is drawn to the otherworldliness of this great shot. We can see the artistic eye of this photographer. Your point of view is from a boat? Especially lovely are the predominantly blue hues, adds to the atmosphere of the whole shot. Your focus is dead on the lighthouse with some softening through the back, overall this is top notch! Nice work author.
(5 years and 628 days ago)Congrats
(5 years and 646 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 646 days ago)I just looked up Arkhangelsk on Wikipedia, I bet you are hoping for spring to spring forth! brrrr
(5 years and 646 days ago)Congrats on two and three....your photography always rocks....
(5 years and 646 days ago)краÑива Ñ„Ð¾Ñ‚Ð¾Ð³Ñ€Ð°Ñ„Ñ–Ñ BIG CONGRATULATIONS....
(5 years and 646 days ago)Congrats Dmitry, lovely image
(5 years and 646 days ago)I have visited your town with Google street, it is amazing.
(5 years and 649 days ago)Nice sky and a sense of space with this one
(5 years and 657 days ago)Like this on,effective use of hdr without being over the top
(5 years and 657 days ago)Well done for 1 and 2
(5 years and 681 days ago)Excellent. Professional looking. Great visual impact. Makes me want to go there. Wonderful photography, congratulations on this shot.
(5 years and 686 days ago)I just checked your horizon line and it does dip a tad to the L. Overall this is almost otherworldly, sci-fi....the city looks like it will eat your soul and the palm trees on the side give you a place to heal from stresses. This is a wonderful juxtaposition image. Thank you.
(5 years and 686 days ago)Congrats for winning
(5 years and 688 days ago)Congrats Dmitry
(5 years and 688 days ago)Congrats Dimity....
(5 years and 688 days ago)Fabulous. Sunset with subdued colours; great foreground; interest along the horizon; long exposure to turn the waves smoother; great clouds. Love the image.
(5 years and 689 days ago)Glad I looked at the other comments first. I didn't know what was in the foreground, and as a warm climate person, have very limited experience of snow. Now I understand and the image become interesting.
(5 years and 689 days ago)Very dramatic photo. Really well done.
(5 years and 689 days ago)So the dog got away Did you know about the island in the Arctic where Denmark and Canada are at odds as to whom it belongs to? The Danes claim it as their own because of it's proximity to Greenland and Canadians claim it as theirs. So, on a regular basis, the Danes come over and remove the Canadian Flag, put up the Danish flad and leave behind a bottle of Schnapps. Then the Canadians come around, remove the Danish flag, put up the Canadian one and leave a bottle of Canadian whiskey. Now THAT is the way to fight a battle!
(5 years and 690 days ago)That's what I thought...very little monkeying with image, seems the more one monkeys with it the less beautiful it becomes. A lesson worth remembering: get it right, right off the bat.
(5 years and 690 days ago)WOW....wonderful, just wonderful.
(5 years and 690 days ago)HOLY SMOKES...this rocks big time
(5 years and 690 days ago)My mom used to make pyrohy with cherries, sour cream with honey....OY BOZE. This is top notch work.
(5 years and 690 days ago)A nice calming scene...there may be a slight tilt of the horizon to the left but I am bowing in your favour. I like the slowed down shutter speed for you have caught the milkiness of waves, a smoothness that translates visually as a calm time. Very nice, I like this one.
(5 years and 690 days ago)Unusual and I like that you think out of the box...I am assuming that is snow in purple on your window. The sunset is secondary focal point.
(5 years and 690 days ago)I bet this is a SOOC image. Simple and strong following the KISS principle and I am a sucker for KISS. Sharp and clear with good exposure.
(5 years and 690 days ago)You are up early? 5:15 a.m. and I would rather be warm in bed under many comforters. You caught a bit of a "sundog" (that's what we call them in Canada's north country). I really like the story of this image, not only a sunrise, but a sunrise giving us much to chew on. I do wish you had put up in your notes about where this was taken. Where are you going? Why are you going there? Top notch work here.............as always.
(5 years and 690 days ago)A great catch and yes that horizon line is straight. Love that we can see the boat in the distance. There is a real sinister feel to this image, you gotta respect nature. There is something about orange and black together that is strong and works.
