Cool chop, though the wings seem not so much clipped as mechanical. ONLY A SUGGESTION, you might want to place the original wings over them and blend their texture into the chop (don't lose the sharpness) to give it less of an Industrial feel and more to the organic. Just going for the drama, I love what you did with all the filters by the way to come out with that excellent body texture. Really washes out photo and makes it much more painting. IMHO of course.

hehehe, explain THAT to the insurance company. Just toss the original photo in the SBS author, easy peasy. As long as you didn't use any other sources you should be okay, but of course a mod will contact you if you need to fix anything.
Also you may want to give it a title (Just click the title in your entries under your profile and it will let you edit it). A title helps often in voting because it gives the voter and idea of what you were going for.

Actually, with the depth of comments on your entry, that usually means we all see A LOT of talent and just want to steer you in the right direction so you can have a finished product that is truly yours and can be used publicly and privately. (Those copyright laws can really nip you in the butt as well as gallery managers who require you to "Prove" your work, not to mention uppity Disney Lawyers who have more money than God and get all bent out of shape because you used the same color scheme as the Hulk Sleeping Bag they sell in WalMart and they just want to "INFORM" you to watch yourself.

That's one BRIGHT FROGGY. Not a bad thing, but in the photoshop world (because of all our photo altering toys) peeps like to see that kind of thing given some attention. (annoying I know, but whatchagonnado?) There are several ways to give him a little more "Solidity"... too many to mention all of them (HDR Filter/Darken High Pass/Duplicate Layer,desaturate,darken,fade blend, adjusting the filters to taste) you get the picture.
Making a reflection should be not that big of a problem for this one because you can see the ACTUAL reflections in the original Lily Pad picture. (Duplicate, Darken, Flip, place behind original frog, align etc...) Just don't over think it. That's always a disaster. Something I ALWAYS do...hehehe.

Good to see your sources author. But I'm afraid you can't use the Pre Drawn Illustration (The Badge on Stein) You can't use drawings by other people as part of your work. Don't worry, Spaceranger and the other mods will be happy to help you. It wouldn't be that big of a lost because the over all chop is excellent. Great job. ...and really neat work. hehehe Where is ANOTZE? hehehe (I'm just kidding) Always be aware when you do a "Flip" on a photo with words on it. Everything goes backwards. (It's an easy enough fix and I can see by your talent that there is no need to tell you how to fix it) Flip just the words not the whole Windmill. It's great facing back into the image.
I kind of like the lighting and the overall effect. Reminds me of Don Quixote's (Man of La Mancha) battle with the Windmills... the Sesame Street Version. You'll get a spanking for reversing the shadow but I can tell you have an excellent imagination.
