(5 years and 1526 days ago)How sweet is that!
(5 years and 1527 days ago)ACK... all my Catechism classes just came back to me in a rush (and the horrible "What is Hell?" Film they made us watch.) EEEEEEKKKKKKK!
(5 years and 1529 days ago)The cart reminds me of the Cauldron Born from "The Book of Three" (Disney's Black Cauldron handling the Real/Surreal animation)
Great job handling the surreal lighting and making the flame not look like cloning. The floor does look hot! Neat CHOP!
SPECTACULAR PAINTING!!!
(5 years and 1531 days ago)Placing sources in the description works fine when you have more than 10 images.
(5 years and 1531 days ago)I think if you made the image more Vertical than Horizontal it would lock in your diagonal design of Castle/Jack/Cabin. Placing the Moon behind the Castle and adding a glow would give the moon more purpose instead of loitering in the dark part of the sky. (IMHO of Course) Reducing the opacity of the cloud might help let the second hand of the giant shine through as well. Good luck, and great job
Congrats!

(5 years and 1535 days ago)Well done
(5 years and 1535 days ago)So very very very pretty... awesome work
(5 years and 1537 days ago)I'm in LOVE with that wallpaper. (Then again I used to love to dump out my Grandma's purse on the table and cause all Havoc.) The humor and finish is AWESOME!!!! Great thinking!!!
(5 years and 1537 days ago)It's a whole new look... SPECTACULAR... Really blends well now.. I look at the whole image now, not just the moon face...EXCELLENT. Wonderful Blend and Balance. Side note...I used to sell giant Sun/Moon wall sculptures my bosses used to hand carry back from South America/Mexico (they were over four feet tall 3D Monsters) and this image would have fit right in with them. Beautiful.
(5 years and 1537 days ago)Great job with the trunk author
awesome improvement
(5 years and 1537 days ago)tiny little fix, but wow, really took away the cut and paste feel instantly, great job and good luck
(5 years and 1537 days ago)Love the trees/twigs
IMHO of course.
(5 years and 1537 days ago)Just one suggestion, maybe a little burn and shaping to the moon back shape to make it more 3D like the sun rays? Just a suggestion, if the moon was more 3D you could soft brush the edges of the moon face to melt into the back moon shape. JUST A SUGGESTION... it's fine just the way it is, I'm just looking at it and my eye immediately runs around the half moon face plopped on top of the moon shape... it's a very strong focal point, that could be what you were trying for so who knows
Author, very cute! Great idea all round. You may want to add a hint of a shadow under the finger and the arm coming out of the picture (similar to the one under the girls flip flops, and the balloons maybe to see if that will make them float more. Just make sure you match the color of the shadows in the original picture (the one with the white armoire). really is a fun chop
(5 years and 1538 days ago)Author you've got the design down pretty well, the shape and form is quite balanced, what could really help this chop is a bit of refinement.
(5 years and 1538 days ago)...
The edging on the figurine from the source is quite loose and jagged. A little attention to the edges would improve this greatly.
...
Adding a glow effect to the lightening instead of what looks like a drop shadow might not be the route you want to take as this makes the lightning look more like yarn instead of bolts of energy. Without a Step by Step (SBS) there's no way of knowing what methods were used to create the image.
...
While the girls legs are reminiscent of a James Bond Movie trailer, they seem to be faded and dusty instead of sharp dark shadows. The fuzzy edge causes the dust factor to come forward even more greatly. I can see detail in the boots so I'm wondering if that a shadow/silhouette effect wasn't your goal.
...
While your title is wonderfully cheeky, it leaves a lot to the imagination as to what your goal was in this chop. As much as I love a mystery this has made the entry esoteric to the nth degree.
...
Not a bad first effort, just a bit more effort wouldn't hurt, but that of course is IMHO.
...just an added note to the author...Showing the steps you took in an SBS will help voters to judge your work more accurately. Looking through your sources I realize you used a ton of work on this image... the added filter to merge at the end made this into a Painting and not really a photo...not a bad thing per se but something to consider in photoshop competition. I personally really enjoy the filter effect and this image would be awesome as a decoration in a firefighter's home or a Fire House in a second.
(5 years and 1538 days ago)...
Filters are often thought of as simple ways of manipulating a photo and are often reviled in photoshop competition. (Believe you me hehehe). But in review of all your sources and the definite effort you placed into this chop, I find the finished product intriguing. Good luck and I hope to see more of your work
Author, a little more effort into the "Out of Bounds" theme might help in this design. As it stands, it seems the lioness on the top left is the only item that is out of bounds. I do like the fade from wall to forest in the background. (I'm sure that is Out of Bounds as well, just more subtle.)
(5 years and 1538 days ago)...
To improve your entry, you might want to have the Elephant "stepping out" of the painting as well. The cut off rump of the white tiger is screaming for a frame (another out of bounds effect easily added)repeating the same Idea with the gorilla as well.
...
I do like the idea and the composition is well done. Just giving you a little heads up on improvements... for what it's worth. Good luck.
Spectacular visual. In your face in a very great way. KUDOs!!!
(5 years and 1538 days ago)Author, when resizing your spider make sure to hold down the shift key to prevent distortion (in photoshop). I like your reflection fade and if you take care to refine the debris (HI RES exposes this) with a simple small erase brush will bring the chop UP quite well. The ghosting effect along the edges of the legs can be remedied with a soft BURN/HIGHLIGHT brush.
(5 years and 1538 days ago)...
Wonderful work and welcome to PXLeyes.
Very pretty aka "How to piss off 7 tiny men" LOL Love the lettering (reminds me of the Lord of the Rings)
(5 years and 1538 days ago)An Asian Little Mermaid? How freepin' COOL is that! Great JOB!!!
(5 years and 1539 days ago)Author, when placing your sources, the first slot is for the "LINK" and the second slot is for a THANK YOU to the source (works well with Flickr/Deviant Art when the artist wishes to be acknowledged that it is their photo) or for explaining where the photo was used in the chop. (Makes it less of a head ache for the mods, I'm sure.) It's a pretty easy peasy fix
great idea all around
(5 years and 1539 days ago)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE
(5 years and 1539 days ago)Sent me straight to this video...hehehe
Dog goes "woof"
Cat goes "meow"
Bird goes "tweet"
And mouse goes "squeek"
Cow goes "moo"
Frog goes "croak"
And the elephant goes "toot"
Ducks say "quack"
And fish go "blub"
And the seal goes "ow ow ow"
But there's one sound
That no one knows
What does the fox say?
"Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!"
What the fox say?
Great job.
Links work now
GREAT BLEND
LOVE THE REFLECTION
(5 years and 1539 days ago)...and the angel rose out of the sand and ate her in two bites. hehehe
(5 years and 1540 days ago)(Great chop... couldn't resist finishing the story) What's up with that hole in the wing? (not your chop, the original photo) I think who ever sculpted that statue had a little too much of the grape.
GREAT IMAGE AND GOOD LUCK.
Congrats on 4th
