the drop shadow is a bit weird, and erasing the background off the back of the hair might be helpful, (soft smudge to shape the edge is what I would do, I can see where you were going with this.

Don't be afraid to use a Texting Tools like Word Art or the bending text tools in Photoshop to shape your title. You can also just rasterize the text and use the WARP or DISTORT text to shape it better. (Using Bevel emboss can be fun too)

We used to carry these weird lamps from Brazil. they were like upside down pots you put over a candle and little windows on the jars would shine out ward, little trees and stuff attached to the outside, reminds me a lot of this image.. GOOD LUCK AUTHOR

those are a couple of chunky monkeys LOL.. Might want to consider some burn marks on their clothes.. or even flattening the image and use some high pass rendering to get all the textures to blend.. but an interesting take

Silly Bandz, rubber bands worn as bracelets molded in millions of different shapes, quite weird (similar to the stretch black gasket bracelets worn by Madonna at the beginning of her career) I don't see them as much any more, but they used to be in every Target/Walmart in America.

I have to agree with the author on this one, when I went to performance school the ballet students were CONSTANTLY having to wear things that bound bind breach break their body, and all were costume. The lead teacher knew the history of every piece of clothing, where it came from and why it existed. (Thank god I was only in the vocal class) don't get me started on the Tap Dancers, their costumes were exhausting). good luck author, I always remember the ballet teacher saying, do we have our Costumes? to her students just before they would begin class.
