the mountains are those giant confections you get from the Cuban bakery markets here in southern Florida.. ugh.. the fishies are very well constructed... IMHO do you think it would be better to give them some depth and shading? if Cartoon was your goal the HURRAH.. excellent job.. but if you burn and dodge you might make them more Jacque Cousteau instead of Sponge Bob Square Pants.. oh lord k5683, there is nothing simple about it on an emotional scale as well as deciding to permanently changing your identity.

(I've been blessed to have met and been friends with several people who have been given the interesting aspect of being born inside a body that does not match up with their internal being)

Their lives are filled with so much heart break and pain, yet they reflect back a strength and beauty that is mind boggling. I'm thinking you should understand that this Scar was Not so much a CHOICE.. but more of the most dramatic if not painful contemplation a person has to go through to stabilize the ping pong game that is being played with their mind and overall personal existence.

The story behind the "SCAR" is so complex in this entry, and kudo's to the person who had to undergo such a hard and life changing decision. Hope the world understands some day, it just takes time

wow.. very good job with the idea.. watch the shadow under the spine as to the shadow under the cover, they should melt together a bit.. overall distortion for the picture is quite well done (the spine containment should encapsulate all the pages not just so far and then bends around it).. fantastic chop all round though.. good luck.. and always IMHO

author, if you were going for a cut and paste look you may want to add a gentle drop shadow below each section to give it more of that type of look (simple Trompe-l'Å“il) also cropping the images perfectly square (90 degree) to give a bit of consistency would make it more balanced IMHO, nice idea and good luck (Photoshop contests seem to demand a bit more work for higher scores, but I commend you for your effort)
