(I can't see dark things very well to begin with and this is quite dark.. ) very good image and as much as the Grudge drives me crazy...(the story line made me wheez.. dead creatures doomed in torture and revenge to continue the line is just down right depressing.. well thought out.. but still hehehe)

Mirror the wing on the other side.. it would make it look like he's gliding and going COW A BUNGA!!! hehehe (just IMHO) .. when you have time.. polish the debris in the high res... can't really see it in low res, but it kind of slaps you in the face in Hi Res..

If he's tacked into the image, Shouldn't he have a slight drop shadow so he looks like a cut out piece of paper? not sure what your goal is here (great job but I think a description would help a lot)

If you placed the WHOLE image into a cork board that might help with the delivery.. if that is what you are going for..

IMHO you might want to darken the shadow under his feet a bit (match the darkness of the shadow on the lower branch, wonderful chop all round. I LOVE HIPPOs!!!

This is a very cute concept.. but you need to post a link or the actual picture of the frog fountain in your sbs.. go to MY STUFF... MY CONTEST and add the source photo of your fountain

I think you could improve it much more by straightening out the entire image, the horizon line is very obviously tilted and leveling it will provide a better concept overall (IMHO)

I'm wondering if you shrunk the head a bit that it might blend better.. right now it is so top heavy that it looks like the head is detached (might be Just me).. shrinking it might make it blend better (also desaturating or hue adjustment might make it match the body's color to add to the realism)

It's quite dark (hard to see the detail) you might want to pass a large soft dodge brush over the whole piece to reveal more detail.. it's very hard to see in it's present state
