I like it!

Both versions are very creative but I think they look a bit confusing combined as one entry because of the different perspectives and the very obvious dividing line between them.
I would keep them separate myself but the final decision is yours.

This made me smile. It is amusing to think of make up brushes watching the people who use them.
One suggestion I have for improvement is to add some the neck of the model and blend it into the brush handle so it doesn't look like the handle is stuck on his chin. I think it would look better with the brush handle blended into the neck.
