The portrait needs to be 17th century style, not modern.

The portrait is very modern but not 17th century style at all. I also know you can do a lot better with cutting out the frame. It has a lot of stray pixels on the inside edge which need cleaning up. I suggest you use the pen tool to make a nice straight line selection, feather it by 1 pixel, and then cut it out.

Cool idea. Just a thought, and it may not even work, but maybe try one of the "Distort" filters behind the ghost? When light travels through something see-through, it can bend and distort. It won't distort as much if the see-through thing is flat, but your ghost is round and should cause distortion.

These may not be the best examples but you can see the distortion behind these wine glasses.

You may not want to take the time to do this, but in my opinion little things like this make the Chop better.

You can get rid of the dark line on top of the dandelion by using the dodge brush set to dodge shadows or you could use the "blend if" option.

It's amusing for sure, but the teeth appear to be stuck on the bottom lip instead of protruding from under the top lip. A bit of tweeking needed in that area.

You blurred it more than I thought was necessary, but you know what? It looks really awesome now. It adds a depth of field to his head that is pretty darned tasty.
