Required reading when I was a pup. Still remember the the row of 30 copies in Mrs. Babic's (English Teacher)room, ready for the next set of kids to read them again.
(5 years and 1163 days ago)"And when he watered the flower for the last time, and prepared to place her under the shelter of her glass globe, he realized that he was very close to tears." This is one of my favourite books Drivenslush, I've read it dozen times... I'm very happy to discover it is popular over the Pond.
(5 years and 1163 days ago)hands (petals) on the hips is hysterical
(5 years and 1165 days ago)Your sources are all okay but source 5 is the download link, always use a link that shows the usage terms/license as well as the image. For this source the correct link is https://www.pexels.com/photo/sky-earth-galaxy-universe-2422/
(5 years and 1165 days ago)Good luck!
(5 years and 1166 days ago)“What a queer planet!" he thought. "It is altogether dry, and altogether pointed, and altogether harsh and forbidding. And the people have no imagination. They repeat whatever one says to them . . . On my planet I had a flower; she always was the first to speak . . .”

Author, this is a well made image but Sources 1, 2 and 4 are not offered under a Creative Commons license, and are not useable. Please see: http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2009/06/how-and-where-to-find-legal-source-images/ and http://www.pxleyes.com/guidelines/photoshop/
(5 years and 1166 days ago)If you can fix it and resubmit, you could tweak your shadows. The base of the container & the girl's leg don't seem to have shadows.
Congrats!
(5 years and 2500 days ago)Congrats Duke fabulous work
(5 years and 2500 days ago)Congrats with the deserved win
(5 years and 2500 days ago)Great entry
RE my original comment, In your original description you said that you used sketchbook pro to illustrate - and from what I assumed colour!! My original point was to highlight that in order for your entry to be more in line with a PS contest; that it be completely illustrated or at least the bulk of it illustrated in PS and not in another piece of software....
(5 years and 2504 days ago)Yes people will submit digitally painted entries; but they will have used PS when entering these contests - you can use whatever you like in the drawing contests...............
So in answer to your post regarding that comment..... that was the problem!!
ANYWAY!!! -
hehehehe... love the whole concept and even though I don't know the language the whole description really helps the whole concept.. great job and good luck
(5 years and 2504 days ago)Don't get me wrong I like it, it fits more with the theme than most others in the contest.... BUT I would say it fits more into the digital drawing contest side of things rather than a PS contest, as judging by your description it seems only minimal use of Photoshop was used, but ill wait for your step by step.
