Creative and lovely. Thank you.
(5 years and 605 days ago)nice photograph.
(5 years and 613 days ago)I'd keep the horizon leveled. and might also change POV. maybe from very down
The colour palette is one of my personal favourites, purple and pink combined. A square format would really work on this piece as circular objects really jump out and the visual staying factor increases because of equidistant sides to the frame. It may be a bit soft but I will check hi resolution before voting.
(5 years and 616 days ago)Oh gosh, I have two of these fish, with eyes so similar hanging in my bathroom that your upload gave me a great chuckle. In photography courses the teachers will often tell you that the eyes must be in sharp focus then all other sins can be forgiven, your one eye is sharp. The point of view of this image is also good for it engages the viewer instantly. A fun shot.
(5 years and 620 days ago)A spin on a grape. A lot of movement shown here, did you spin the camera around to get this effect. WOW do let us know so we can all learn from each other. I like the idea but do find the lack of focus disconcerting somewhat but perhaps that was what you were gunning for.
(5 years and 623 days ago)You see beauty all around you, even in sand and in the sky, what a creative person you are. You looked up and saw this beautiful moon with cloud covering. The moon is overexposed and feels hot and I feel a tighter crop would have shown , not only the moon, but the beautiful cloud formation.
(5 years and 623 days ago)I like your out of the box thinking. I wonder if it would have been stronger with a closer shot of sand?
(5 years and 624 days ago)Lovingly made by hand, sharp but I feel a different crop would have made for a stronger photograph.
(5 years and 626 days ago)A star instead of a cross, how curious. I like the fine sharp texture to this image, did you use high pass and at what percentage. That you included the image of a saint makes this gracious tower holy but not without a story...and that is intriguing for me. Nice balance to the compositional style rich in colour and good exposure. Solid entry.
(5 years and 627 days ago)Tall and slender, you must be talking about me. You have done a good job in bringing the exotic to us and I hope nobody tells you about those electrical wires because we know now that this mosque is somewhere in a busy city. I wonder had you cropped a bit more at the right if that turret would have been more strongly presented? It is a good no nonsense photograph.
(5 years and 627 days ago)I rather like the image for it brings back fond memories for me. My husband ran the Firenze Marathon and I stood by this church to cheer him on. You have done a nice job in bringing out the beauty of this tower, it is sharp and clear and did you use high pass to get the detail so right? Not overcooked, just a natural beauty. Thank you.
(5 years and 627 days ago)I like the creative thought behind this clear and humourus image.
(5 years and 634 days ago)Good creativity and thinking outta the box. The steely gray palette also accentuates the image.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Macro of metal, wonder what it is but the idea is nice.
(5 years and 640 days ago)You did a fine job of keeping the feather green and the background gray following the rules of this contest. A rather lovely, soft but sharp image of a feather with good diagonal slant to it! Simple, yet very strong. I like it.
(5 years and 641 days ago)I spend a lot of time looking up into the canopy of the forest. There are magical colours and patters up there as this shot shows.
(5 years and 647 days ago)I too would have liked the 'core' of the rose in focus. The overall effect is strong and the sharp ice great but I keep feeling that its an image of snow not one of a rose. Still it is a sleeping beauty so maybe the effect and the title match.
(5 years and 647 days ago)You are a romantic and see beauty everywhere. I like this but it would have helped to have more of the rose in focus for a stronger photo, however, it is the artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 649 days ago)Yes, why not. You caught the beauty of the "lace" within the tree branches. Lovely, simple and strong.
(5 years and 649 days ago)Like the interaction between these two,but would crop a bit tighter in this
(5 years and 649 days ago)I love the composition, unfortunately it looks really dark on my screen
(5 years and 654 days ago)I want to get there one day...NOT RUSSIA...just St. Pete's
(5 years and 654 days ago)Sadly over exposed and thus much of the image is out of focus.
(5 years and 655 days ago)Live and rejoice, now that is a good message! The other message says God is.
(5 years and 661 days ago)Very colourful and folksy, where was this taken?
EGADS, this is beautiful. Your usage of dof is magical and you have a beautiful face with those haunting eyes married with gorgeous flower arrangement. This photograph tells the viewers that you created this photograph , not just snapped it and I LOVE IT.
(5 years and 661 days ago)When I see photos like this I think to myself "now why didn't I submit a field"? Good observation and good entry showing barley dancing in the wind. Your photo dips a bit to the right and there is a dust spot on your sensor (the bane of all photographers). Can you see it? It is on the horizon line at the right, actually, I can see two spots, one smaller. Had you followed the horizontal cut rule of photography this would have been a stronger photograph, however, that is very much an artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 661 days ago)I like how you think out of the box. I'm trying to locate the flags...on your fingers? Did you know that there are 38 tri coloured flags in the world sporting red white and blue! (good information for you next soiree). Looks to me like a classy hand of a classy French damsel. I only wish your hand was pointing the other way so we could see the flags with more detail and clarity.
(5 years and 661 days ago)Delightful door with delightful decals! Had you taken this on a tripod without a flash you would not have had that glare.
(5 years and 744 days ago)Hi there, nice eyes you have to see the beauty of this old gal and photograph her! You do have a hot spot on it and this could be brought down with shadow highlight lever somewhat and because that would affect the entire image it is allowed in the rules (I do believe).
(5 years and 744 days ago)Where is the rest of the church, did you clone it out? he he he he. Nice evening shot but too bad about that glare. Looks like it could be a Greek Orthodox church.
(5 years and 744 days ago)Is it a fungi of some description?
(5 years and 795 days ago)Verbena!
(5 years and 804 days ago)Ahhh nice but a bit soft.
(5 years and 875 days ago)Creative thinking, like this one.
(5 years and 878 days ago)Love the creative thinking of this one. Nicely done.
(5 years and 878 days ago)Bacon helps everything
(5 years and 889 days ago)The bacon would definitely help.
(5 years and 891 days ago)This world needs more photographers like you, someone who says pffffffffffft to conventional wisdom and inspires others to try something new. Thank you.
(5 years and 900 days ago)We have a Nat. Geo photographer in our Photo Club. He did a special shoot of Korea and came back with tilted photographs that add excitement to the shot and I see that is what you were gunning for with this presentation which is out of the box. KUDOS to you for having chutzpah to put this up. That smudge in the sky takes away from the shot. Personally, I feel this would have worked with one solid focal point of excitement instead of a beach full of people all doing different things. I really like the idea tho' and my hat goes off to you.
(5 years and 901 days ago)Won't all the water pour out?
(5 years and 902 days ago)Nice one, like everything about it
(5 years and 915 days ago)It reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode.
(5 years and 955 days ago)The photo would have been more scary if the doll had looked at the lens.
(5 years and 956 days ago)Three.
(5 years and 968 days ago)Ahhh I see I was wrong. I thought you were someone else....who also would use Cyrillic lettering.
(5 years and 969 days ago)You give yourself away with the Cyrillic lettering. I really like this post however you do have quite a bit of noise, putting it through a denoise filter would benefit the image however, it would also soften it somewhat and sadly this is already soft. I really like the way you put the light source on and kept the other part in darkness, it is the way of the world.
(5 years and 969 days ago)Because you have cleverly placed the glasses near a skin coloured background this photograph fools us and made me look harder, your technique kept me in your photograph. The diagonal composition provides dynamism and the glasses looking out of the frame further adds a story. Very nice.
(5 years and 969 days ago)I can see that you worked on this image. This is not a photograph taken, it is a photograph made and you presented an artistic rendition of glasses. This is a time when blow outs work artistically and the white magnifies the stem of the glass. Very cleverly done. Monochrome was the way to go with this.
(5 years and 969 days ago)Great idea, a shame you couldn't get it in focus.
