its a great idea and to make it even stand out more I suggest you add some shadows below some parts of the edges of the stamp because stamps tend to get loose on the edges a bit the cutout could have been done a lil bit better or choose a different method of cutting off the edge. perhaps if u place a row of small circles next to eachother on the same height with a lil space between them and then used those to cut the edge of the stamp, that you can make that stamp edge cutout more realistic and less like it has been cut with one of those craft scissors with the swirly zigzag blades etc.. also you did a very nice work on the inkstamp on the stamp

keep working on the cutting out of the girl, enlarge the image a few times so its at 200 or 300 % and then use a small eraser to erase the parts near her face and hand, use a small soft smudge brush on her hair at about 68 % strength and smudge it in the direction the hair is flowing, side ways and down wards, so the edge becomes smoother.. i hope that helps

author the chosen sources dont work really well with eachother I think that's one of the big problems with this work.

To be honest I like the character in step 5 mentioned by Drivenslush (thnx for noticing that) more probably because it brings the image in a better balance. Now at the middle left side of the image you have a whole lot of water where nothing happens, there's nothing to see yet it drags your attention away fro the things you created.

This image has a really nice feel, its art thats worth framing (in my opinion) and it would fit as an illustration in a childrens book just as easely. It reminds me of a tv show I used to watch during my early childhood, it was called "de berenboot" ( The bear boat) The image is not a simulair image, its the feel of it, it brings back the memory to those early years of my childhood and that series was one of my favourites at that time.. The image is nothing more then just the rope, shapes, colors and drop shadow. Easy to understand, yet so powerful because of the simplicity.

the bubbles look like they where created with shapes tool this is not alowed, how where they created? can you show in step by step? the green stones or whatever they are on the right side, you have showed before in steps, where created using filters. removing the steps doesn't remove how it is created.
