California poppies are one of my favorite flowers. These two were blooming right next to eachother. I focused on the end of the petals to show of how soft and silky they are.

I didn't do anything special here. I just made sure that the camera was not moving as this is not the best light for taking pictures.

Here I used photo filters to match the colors of both pictures. Next I blended the two pictures together. I used transform to match up the pictures, and I earsed all the unwanted parts. My final touch was a texture.

This is really how it looked like on this day. There was a snow storm and this was a tiny moment when it calmed down.

Here my kitty is standing in the doorway, thinking about going outside. I got nice and low for this shot, and got lucky with how dark the background came out.
The images I used were not big files to begin with so my only option was to to blur them a bit. This actually worked out, creating the kind of lonely mood I was going for. I also added some textures and a shadow.

If you want to shoot wet webs, my advice is to go very early in the morning. Don't forget your rain boots. A tripod would also be a big help, or you can do it like me and take 50 pictures just to get a few clear ones.
These two thorns are from the middle of the cactus where the leaves have not yet opened. When they do, the thorns will straighten out.

This was one mighty snow storm. The light source is a nearby gas station, hence the reason why only a portion of the tree is well lit. It also helped show all the falling snow.
