(5 years and 1467 days ago)I like this a lot. I thought this would rank higher....
(5 years and 1467 days ago)You can correct the type by entering a bigger version of the entry. Looking at the high res version it is very small and it is magnified when in the overview pages.
(5 years and 1473 days ago)Good photo, type is pixelated.

(5 years and 1496 days ago)Right back atcha!
(5 years and 1496 days ago)That blending and burning took this from an image I kinda skimmed past, to one of my favorites in the challenge. Awesome author!
(5 years and 1498 days ago)It's a whole new look... SPECTACULAR... Really blends well now.. I look at the whole image now, not just the moon face...EXCELLENT. Wonderful Blend and Balance. Side note...I used to sell giant Sun/Moon wall sculptures my bosses used to hand carry back from South America/Mexico (they were over four feet tall 3D Monsters) and this image would have fit right in with them. Beautiful.
(5 years and 1499 days ago)Love the trees/twigs
(5 years and 1500 days ago)Just one suggestion, maybe a little burn and shaping to the moon back shape to make it more 3D like the sun rays? Just a suggestion, if the moon was more 3D you could soft brush the edges of the moon face to melt into the back moon shape. JUST A SUGGESTION... it's fine just the way it is, I'm just looking at it and my eye immediately runs around the half moon face plopped on top of the moon shape... it's a very strong focal point, that could be what you were trying for so who knows IMHO of course.
Nicely done.
(5 years and 1500 days ago)...and the angel rose out of the sand and ate her in two bites. hehehe
(5 years and 1502 days ago)(Great chop... couldn't resist finishing the story) What's up with that hole in the wing? (not your chop, the original photo) I think who ever sculpted that statue had a little too much of the grape.
GREAT IMAGE AND GOOD LUCK.
Good advice above, you don't want a shadow between the bust & the surface it's on...and his right edge (our left) is pretty blurry.
(5 years and 1505 days ago)Fun Idea author, but I think your attempt at a drop shadow under the bust and the pedestal pieces pops it apart and it becomes floating chunks. You can see it happen in steps 4 and 5 in your SBS. BOINK. Repeat the top of the pedestal under the original to give it a 3D effect. Apply slight darkness (very similar to bevel emboss). This will give the top of the pedestal thickness and ground it. Look at your ORIGINAL pedestal bust creation, you had it quite right there. Careful with your under shadows, they can cause a floating effect as well. Yikes... You know what to do and I'm beginning to sound like the hum of a refrigerator. hehehe Great Job
(5 years and 1507 days ago)congrats again

(5 years and 1518 days ago)Beautiful work
(5 years and 1519 days ago)So pretty. The birdie is cool and the colors enchanting
(5 years and 1519 days ago)good idea. Looks like a paradise bird to me. The colours really make it. I agree with Drivenslush, a bit dodge & burn (burn) would improve the Image.
(5 years and 1519 days ago)Purdy Birdy Light burn brush (carefully) on the wings where they meet the body my improve the depth a bit (same with the tail, there is already a slight shadow there that could be worked upon.) the beak could cast a slight shadow to give it a little more distance from the body. But hey, it's great just the way it is, I'm just being nick picky Great work! I love how the smiley face slowly disappears in the pattern and you can't really see it unless you are looking for it. GOOD LUCK!!!
(5 years and 1520 days ago)cute! I think I would like to see hat broach on encompass more area?
